I Have created an Angry Birds menu Template.

Features

Slide to touch menu with

5 Areas with
21 Levels per Area for
A Total of 105 Levels

Each Area Has both a SCORE AND A STAR COUNT

Every Level is already linked to a scene and HAS A VARIABLE FOR SCORE ANd A STAR RANKING MENU!!!!

I only use one actor for all the levels so it is very simple to change and customize......

I even created LOADING actors for for all of the variables

its ready to go and complete.

I added a bar graph feature that ties to the area score. I also explained how easy it was to dispay the score on mulitple levels using the same actor.

I am working on a new feature similar to cut the rope where you can have an image in the background and I am also adding comments to explain how to integrate into a current project.

Everything always takes twice as long than my original plan. Update should/will be out tomorrow.....

UPDATE....Sorry it took so long

I got a new mac and time machine gave me some issues.......

Added new Cut the Rope menu type image menu.....

I am finishing up the notes tonight to explain the template so it wont be available until tomorrow night.

aww, come on Tshirt. While I agree this wasn't the nicest thing to do, you can't just be the only person who can sell "template of type x", you may not like competition, but a monopoly is worse. I mean if there's a market for a cheaper template with less features then why shouldn't someone be allowed to sell one? Of course, you could always sell cheaper, simpler versions of your templates (eg less graphics, only landscape or portrait mode not both, only iphone or ipad menus, etc) but then as you said, it would just lead to all templates costing a buck and having no feature sets

I guess you just have to accept that people will (and should have the choice to be able to) purchase product A with quality x and price x or product B with quality y and price y.

Wow, wasn't expecting this post or the email.

I dont think they are as similiar are you think.....

If you look closer, there are many differences in mine compared to yours such as the point bar graph and the score and star count on the areas. On the game levels I also have a star system based on the point score of the individual level. None of which are in your template. Yes, they both are slide menus that go to a subenu, but that's what a menu does. I created this template in response to darrens angry birds template announcement not to undercut anyones price. I wanted it ready to go when his template was available. I added the cut the rope because of numerous requests and those requests probably came from people who saw it In your template. I also recieved a bunch of requests to add an achievement page, which will be in the next update. None of these are original ideas, but are ideas pieced together from other well designed games.

As far as a price difference. You are offering far more in your template than I am.

You have high quality graphics,volume and sfx settings controls, not to mention you offer to create a title screen logo for the purchaser. All of those are value added services for the developer and not included or available in mine. Someone can get a graphics ready template from you. That is worth more because of the time savings. My graphics are for demonstration purposes only. I could see your point if I added those features and still charged $20. That would be a direct assault on your template. I have no intentions of doing that and I believe the achievement unlock will be the final update for mine.

I respect your contribution to the forum and gamesalad in general, but I see these template going after 2 different types of developers and the features and price differences between them justified.

I'm not looking for a battle or fight on this, the forum has gotten crazy recently.

My price has been $20 and has not changed to undercut a yokes prices.

I have not used any of your cut the rope code in my template. I did not buy the template nor have I seen it. It is all my own code from my experience and tutorials.

I do not want people thinking I stole anyones code.

To show I am an honorable man, I will remove that piece from my template.

It is not going to make or break my template.

I took a look at the other templates and decided I wanted to offer something more unique so asked tbooth if he could edit this thread. He has a template that offers that feature already and I wanted to respectful of that.

I still am going to add an achievments page for each world and I will take suggestions on what other features user would want, except for cut the rope.

i cannot wait for the angry birds template. I started to build one a few weeks back, but i stumbled across the Utopian Template video on youtube and I decided that his looked far too good for me to even begin creating one. I was mainly making it for myself anyhow. So I am just waiting for darrens, it looks a-mazing!!
