Hey guys myself and DreamLab are gonna try to start doing this often. We want to get the community back in the giving spirit. Don't expect to see complex gameplay stuff offered for free but thing like this should come a little more often. And Please GS Staff this is not for sale it is free for the community so no need to Dump it in the marketplace. 
I've added to and modified slightly one of FMG's slider demos for this so it does both volume and Sound effects separately. Also you can hear what level the sound is at since each change make a click at the new level. Then visually the squares behind the slider lighting up as the sound goes up I think is a nice effect.
Now for the Art. All Art is original and was done by DreamLab. And he has included this art for you guys to use to use how you please.
The Catch is no selling of this template. And when you change it up I ask that you offer and changes back to the community. This is a spirit I have seen fade over the past months, And I would hope to revive that.
Please don't take this as an attack on template selling. Its not, There are in fact a few very valuable templates offered in the market but I do feel there are also several that really have no business being listed.
If you would like a copy please email tenrdrmer(at)gmail.com I will send out a mass mail later this even when I get home. Oh and If your lucky DreamLab may be adding some additional backgrounds to the project before it goes out.

I have sent for a free copy cause i want to see if you used my code too.
I do have 5 different music sliders in mine for £5 but it seems like a full on attack and up yours utopian so gl if ya want to play dirty.

I'm not sure I agree that making a copy of something that is not that difficult to do in GS and releasing it for free is a low blow. I do, however, think that publicly implying that he used your code is a bit premature and a tad on the defamatory side.
If he did in fact use your code (I mean direct copy/paste, not similar chunks of simple logic) or had included your graphics, then this would be a different post.

I have nothing against selling of templates but this tool me all of an hour to put together so I think it's more than fair to give it for free.
And your threat to destroy any sales of my own templates only hurts your image in this community, and only give me a reason to not bother with charging and just flood the place with free stuff. Anyway if you had an issue with this you should be emailing me to discuss this instead of accusing me of stealing your code openly on the forum. That very bad taste man. And for the record I have never even had a copy of your music template nor do I even know of anyone with it.
It is clear some are posting with comments that suggest their distain for the pay-for efforts of others.
Additionally it would appear from an outsider that of all the free templates that could be done for the community .. this one was chosen to make a statement against Darren which i think is a real shame.
If a template is not worth the money to someone they don't buy it .. simple. Obviously many do see the value.
If you do a free template .. thank you.

And if you want to get technical fmg's sliders were up long before darrens.
This is just showing how money hungry people are getting, that they are complaining about free stuff
no behaviors were copyed and pasted from darrens template at all, so i dont see what the problem is

Obviously if he just copied it, it's another story, but as it stands I don't see the need to go and blame him.
I need money too, and this is my only work since I'm still studying, but it's not like people can't go and give for free canabalt templates or plant vs zombie templates just because I'm selling them (even more since, as their name states, I copied the design -and even a little more in the PvsZ one, lol-), as long as it's not my code.
He's pissed off his bubble ball template hasn't sold so trying to have a cheap dig at me because he knows we make good money from templates.
The thing you guys don't seem to grasp is no one buys rubbish...
Do all the +1's ya like but I'm not budging from the way i feel about this and just to confirm it has &*^* all to do with the money.

- 1. If you are going to charge 5 bucks, 3bucks, 2bucks, for a template, why not just make it free? I mean really. will it kill you? (not targeted at anyone so please dont get mad. because there are many 15$ and under templates out there)
2- This is no-ones idea. All we are doing is trying to help the community so they don't have to spend money every second of the day to complete their game. I know, they can learn to do it themselves, but still

As far as the !@#$% last night which i'm sure your referring to my being pissed. Its that we have a Sous-Chef (you) who has found a way to profit off the community and when the forum added rules that all of the profiting needed to be done it a certain place one of our sous-chef's (you) refuses to just use that. you post everything to the main page and then throw a fit it gets moved when thats the rules. And as a sous-chef you should be the first one following the rules since you have had the sous-chef status bestowed upon you. You also abuse that and go back days after your threads have been made to add Stars to all of your posts so you could gain better attention which in turn profits you. You are abusing you privileges as a sous-chef. But yet again none of that has anything to do with this since it was completed yesterday evening around the same time as all of that.
I feel that the people coming here need a decent free option for their games because not everyone can drop even $10 bucks on a template. I sure can't. I downloaded FMG's template duplicated the slider and set it all to run the Sound volume instead of the music volume.
I think the bigger question here is if my sliders match your code. then did you copy FMG's code and offer it for sale? Because in my book thats pretty low.
I'm home now so the templates should be arriving soon to your inboxs.
