Basically, I'm winding down the e-commerce part of this project. The iTunes store makes it much easier to sell and update the book.
Thanks,

Thanks, I like this format Photics.
I'll try to download my update shortly.
Thanks as always!!!
See, mailing lists are not all bad! I like the look of the new Index feature. I was trying to think of something that looked cool, was functional and worked in a Universal Binary. I think the solution is very professional.
The feedback has been great. I haven't seen any reviews posted yet though. I think things would be easier if developers could see all the reviews at once, instead of having to select each country.
I saw two reviews from the UK, very nice!
I would like to get in touch with you about some questions i have about your book

I have a forum for questions about the book...

...and I've been known to answer questions about the textbook over here too.
I'm holding on to the remaining promo codes for reviewers. I don't know when the next update is going to be, so I'm keeping promo codes in reserve.
and would it not be possible to have an update on photics.com of the new material just for the people that bought the original pdf version or the book then at least they wouldn't feel that they lost out,
although i no it was not two years ago
The app version does contain the latest information, it also has color images, but it's not a huge difference from the ePub version. Not much has changed with GameSalad since last August.
What is in there that you think could benefit me after learning a lot of the basics?
I wrote the book and I still use it. HA HA. Two days ago I used it for adding artificial intelligence to my enemies. Today I used the math section for remembering the differences between COS and SIN. The charts in the math section are great.
The optimization tricks are great. It took me months to get to the level I'm at now. You could figure it out on your own, but I think it's quicker and easier to read the book. There's a lot of information at avoiding pitfalls.
It's not just a reference, it often explains how to apply the information. Reading the book might help with developing your game ideas.
Can you send me a promocode?
I buyed your book ( the real thing) :-)

I'm holding on to the remaining promo codes. This is an old thread.

I'm in a good mood today. I also had 4 more promo codes than I thought. I'm looking forward to adding Game Center to my games and the book. It's exciting. I don't know how long that's going to be, so I'm holding on to the promo codes. I hate giving these things out. There's only one review listed for the United States page.

I know I gave out a lot of codes in the United States.
I'm happy with how the textbook turned out. I'm not going to add one of those annoying "rate me" alert messages. I'm too busy with BOT to worry about it. Most of those that have the book really seem to like the book.
...and there were two great reviews from the UK!
I noticed I'm unable to leave you a nice review on iTunes as I purchased it directly from you way back, not the iTunes store.
Therefore it thinks I don't own it and won't let me review.
Sorry about that.
Thanks for the updates though
I sent you an email.

CabacoAppNews, I don't use the Private Messaging system for promo codes. Well, not if I don't know the country where you live. I'm supposed to send Apple's conditions for promo codes along with the code. So, since I can't upload the whole PDF, I don't normally use the private messaging system for sending codes.
I bought the iBook version.
Never got the email about promos.
erm... any left?
Cheers
Valan
I'm considering the return of the printed version when GameSalad 1.0 is released. I don't know when that will be though.
