THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX CONTEST 2 - STARTS NOW!!!
HOW LONG
The contest starts today (Friday 11th of March 2011) You have 3 weeks to work on your game. Final submissions must be in on April the 2nd. It's never too late to decide to take part.
PRIZES
Winning game gets:
- 'Kanvus light 64' drawing tablet (From StusApps)
- Some Music CDs (from Scitunes)
- $15 itunes voucher (from simo103)
- 5 t-shirts (from T-shirt booth at http://www.tshirtbooth.com)
- Beta/Performance test on lots of devices (by magic101 - iphone 3G, 3GS, 4, itouch 3rd & 4th gen, iPad 1 and iPad 2, ))
- Gold Tools Bundle from Deep Blue.

RULES
Every developer taking part must:
Make a game based around the 'theme' given.
Run their own forum thread detailing their progress. With 'TOTB2' included in their threads title.
Add a video of their finished game working in this thread. (or as completed as its going to be)
JUDGING
The final games that have a completed game at the end of the contest, will be entered into a poll on this forum and voting will be carried out by the Forum users over 1 week. The winner is the one with the most votes.

The theme for 'Think Outside the Box 2' is ….
'THE ARCTIC / ANTARCTIC'….
(keywords to help with your game ideas… fishing, seals, skidoos, ozone, environment, ice skate, slide, penguins, polar bears, icebergs, ice drifts, Captain Scott, snow ball fight, north pole, south pole, aliens, ice, snow, sun, melt, environmental, disaster, snowmen, snow fox, rabbits, lemmings, oil, eskimos, igloos, frozen, freeze, h20, cold, harpoon, fur, explorers, frankenstein, space, empty, endangered, and cyborg destroying robots…obviously)

Also to anyone with the powers of the forum... any chance of making this thread a yellow sticky for the duration of the competition???
maybe something like flight control or harbor master but with penguins skating on ice and you have to get them off the ice before they crash.
I just have all deep blue tools prize! :-)

I'm hoping I can take part myself, I've got two other projects I really want to get finished and submitted to apple first. But hopefully I'll join in at some point over the next week.
... maybe a game called 'Great Scott'... and you have to get your adventurer across your ipad screen without falling down any cracks or being attacked by evil penguins...also liking something to do with 'March of the bloody penguins'...
@Dreamlab.... it would be nice, but I think they might have to get involved in legal competition rules and stuff cause they're a 'big' company...but you never know.
Do I have to actually PUBLISH my game?

I don't want to bump the old thread, but, if you are reading this Riffel, congratulations again! Well deserved victory!
And thank you again stormystudio, really, for taking responsibility and for holding a nice competition like this.
I'll see if I'm gonna be in this one, but, its not likely
(Damn... Some good prizes..)
But I'm not sure if I can compete with my graphics skills being limited.
Aside from having my other game, but that's almost done anyway...
