My Icon design - Needs opinions

The purple by far is the most exciting background color and not just because I suggested it.

I liked the first one, I would just add a sunburst in the background.

They are all pretty close but i think the icon's current background colours need some more re-thinking, perhaps a fresh perspective. check some colour palette sites. i liked the original the top blue, not so much the bottom with it

I think the monkey's artwork is a bit complicated to be that small. the nose and mouth are nearly completely lost.
