Sorry for going off topic on your thread here Matt but how do you reserve a name for your game? Does that mean no one else can use it? And could I do it for a company name? I have a name for a company I want to save so no one else can use it but figured I'd ask here before going to Google...lol
Not sure about company name, I would think if they already have 1 abc inc. That they wont let another abc inc. Reserve your game name by creating a new game on itunes connect, with the name you would like to reserve with all BS descriptions and just an icon from another project. That name is now reserved for you, when your ready for your game, change the icon & all the descriptions
Hey Everyone, Haven't had time to work on project B.S. lately as I have been working on projects for people. Just last night I was thinking about a pricing idea. Here are my thoughts:
Now that I'm thinking about prices, I would like to sell project B.S. for more then $0.99. Heres the thing, after having an iPhone for 2 years & the app store for 3 some prices have come onto me & others have not.
Everyone is attracted to the $0.99 on the app store, but me personally, I know when I'm purchasing an app for $2.99 that it's most likely quality. The numbers .99 & 2.99 are delightful for me. HERE'S WHAT I'M WONDERING - when talking about downloads, not revenues, I personally think that $2.99 will be higher than $1.99 as it is a nicer number, although $1.99 is cheaper. I think, once app pricing passes Tier 1, that until tier 3, they mean almost the same to people. What's you opinion?
pricing your app all depends on the type of app, the need for it in the market, and your perceived worth.
if you make another angry birds clone, don't bother ever going over .99. if you make an app that doesn't exist in the appstore, you could charge a few dollars more
but these are for first class apps. hobby apps have no business being priced more than .99
Hey Everyone, I feel like it's time to release the Project B.S. to the public. Project B.S. will be published to the app store as... Battle Strikers! I'm simply recreating this game for the iPad -
So, I was thinking of using your finger to make small changes in your blades movements. Possibly like a magnet, but with space restrictions. The enemy is controlled by an API, I think this is a completely new concept (for the iOS) I expect future releases in the Mac App Store also. There will be an overhead menu, with the RPM of the player & enemy's striker. As you collide, both RPMs lower, but the striker being hit not attacking will decrease more. I will include MANY power ups for the player & API. You will have to compete vs APIs, becoming harder the longer you progress. Last striker standing, wins
