Push notifications is a vital part of marketing strategies, the better your strategy the more dl's you will get and the more that gamesalad apps get downloaded the better gamesalad will do, sometimes an average game with a full marketing strategy can do better than a great game with a half assed strategy. Personally, I'm trying to build a brand now, so this is important for me.

Well in a lot of apps these days (like tap zoo) they are used to bring people back to the game after a certain time idle. Another good example is Big Time Gangsta. If you don't play for a day, there is a "security raid" and you have to go defeat a small police raid. I could see it as a great addition, but it is extremely complex compared to the small things that the gs team should be working on right now. (tables and arrays, video splash screens, etc.)
Push notifications ARE annoying, yes. I would never disagree with that. But they can also help us developers make games that would need them. We don't need them right now, but when all these new features come in, they will start to be useful to us. It's not that push notifications would help us make better games. But they could help make good games better. (someone said that in another thread about something else, but it was a good quote) So lets say we get arrays, databases, in-app purchases, ect. All of the tools to make a tiny zoo type game. Then if we got push notifications, we could mark down another type of game that could be made with gamesalad. Right now, its nailed down to physics puzzles. The rest are usually workarounds to achieve a certain effect or game type(correct me if I'm wrong)
BUT
I don't see them being important at this moment. Push notifications are something I see as " A little something extra" and something we wouldn't need until the other features get implemented.

Just wanted to tell you.
What we need is better load times, FB, twitter, GC achievements, and then iAP.

Just my 2 cents.
we don't need it now since I don't see the point, maybe after there is internet connections then maybe it will be good
