So incredible seeing that! Our game got so big people are making templates of it??? WOW!
Thank you for that! it's nice to see things like this coming from GS, where I was before the switch to Corona, wich brought some awesome new abilities!
Oh, the next time, asking for using the game's name or the graphics will be appreciated :-P
If you really like the game, stay tuned, by the end of this month we will be releasing something so HUGE you are going to blame us for offering it for free, the biggest update ever made to a game! Graphics, Controls, Gameplay, Obstacles... everything improved! That's what my holidays were reserved for Hahaha!
A sneak peek:
PS I prefer to try on my own and have people teaching me from time to time. A machine just doesn't explain things (yet) But if you think it's so bad I'll try, it can't hurt.

Are you going to allow it like nothing? I'm not, that's for sure.
This a a template. The purpose of a template is to learn and have a starting point for some which this does. Yes we all no its wrong that some will most definitely not change any art or style or add any mechanics but the developer seems to have done a great job creating a template that shows how a Non-GameSalad game can be made in GameSalad. This definitely is a benefit to the community by displaying what can be done with some time and effort.
So if anyone feels this developer should not be allowed to sell a good template besides the fact that Shady no ethics customers will simply publish it with little changes please post your reasoning the next time around.
@dunkelgeist - You should be honored that someone thought your game was good enough to create a template to show how it could be done in this SDK. But its not this developers fault that some will use it for the wrong purpose.
Templates are a love/hate thing for me. They are so helpful to those in the community in need of some tutorials, or how to's on games, but they're also damaging when other's abuse the system, and ruin it for everyone.
There should be measures against this, and one thing is not including the art for the template. I think that template publishers need to take some responsibility in preventing this type of thing from happening, especially since it's a common occurrence.
I notice Corona has a template called "Samurai Fruit" which could easily be mistaken for "Fruit Ninja", and I'm sure that has been very helpful to the Corona community, in addition to other templates they offer.
Bottom line is, it's not the creator's of templates direct *fault* per se, but when you include the art in the template, you're giving an accessible way for unethical devs to publish templates as is.
Something needs to be done about this...

Goes to a app on the store--althought it's been removed from my (USA) store--so I assume it's since been removed from the app store. I also assume that it's my template, published, unchanged. I'm surprised Apple even approved it (when it's so similar to ChocoRun). Anway--I can't really stop that, but the best I can do is not include the legal rights to the artwork--(which, again, I'm now not doing).
This is my first thread that's been closed--and reopened--but as far as I can tell there are mostly good feelings all around (except to those people that submit templates as games right to the store). If anyone disagrees, let me know--I'll do what I can to keep this a happy community.
1. Artwork is no longer included* in this game. (Or in any of my future templates)
2. ChocoRun is awesome (My highest compliments to you, dunkelgeist)
3. If anyone still has a problem, please let me know. I'll do what I can to keep this community happy. If you don't want your problems public, email me at jb15games@gmail.com
4. I, as a template buyer and seller, really dislike it when someone submits an unchanged template to apple. The only way I think I can prevent this is to not include artwork (#1).
*One question for the community, however: When tshirtbooth says artwork isn't included, he sends it in the .zip, so I assume the definition of "not including" the artwork is to not include the legal rights to it--however, the .pngs are included. If this isn't the "right" definition, please tell me the real one.
Thanks for your kind words about the game, but this is too dangerous and we already ran into trouble. Please understand our situation.
@dunkelgeist
Thank you for contacting us and we agree this artwork, regardless of its origin, is a little too close for our comfort. We fully support users creating templates for others, but there should be safeguards to prevent turnaround publishing as we recently witnessed.
@jb15
Thank you for understanding and for making the changes to artwork and title. From what I've seen, you seem to have made a high quality template, and once you make the appropriate changes, I think you'll see a great deal of success with it from this community.
