omg. being able to actually go "back" in a real sense would save a whole heap of time.
@POM... thanks for the touch within a certain magnitude thing. I was doing things pretty much the way tshirt was doing it with a constrained attribute.......your way is loooooverly
I would like to add , The ability to move attributes up and down in the list !
Say you have 40 attributes to save the number of stars for each levels , then you continue to make your game and make new attributes , then you want to make extra 40 levels ,so you make another 40 attributes but we want them to be next to the previous ones , the ability to move them up and down the list ! Is that make sense ? Can help a lot when trying to find attributes in the expression editor .
Can on of the sous chefs sticky this thread , i think its very important , i would have sticky it but I'm not a sous
Dear Developers of GameSalad, please kindly include Push Notifications feature within Gamesalad. This tool is very and very useful for marketing purposes. And we would like to request this feature in future from you.
Thanks!

there is a Sticky Thread for Feature suggestions. Please keep your posts on suggestions there.
Don't know where to file this perhaps an open letter to Gamesald developers. Having been an in-house software developer for many years as well as using numerous software titles I would like to suggest the following:
How to use the software: While there are numerous sources for tutorial, templates, tools etc. there is no concise way to learn gamesalad other than the hunt and peck approach. This is both time consuming and frustrating. I believe more developers would embrace gamesalad if there was a consistent path of education on how to use the software.
The Hello World paradigm only gets you so far and the cookbook shotgun approach leaves one with more questions than answers. Here is question that I have been unable to find an answer to that is at the heart of every GS program:
Attributes "I can't find any really thorough explanation of attributes, their use, when to use, how to use and what type to use in a given situation? I see many examples of using attributes but no one ever explains why a particular attribute has been chosen."
That is just one of dozens of questions I have had while trying to use GS. Since there are no books other than an iPad app that really explains GS I am constantly frustrated. Why not some old fashion tutorials/lessons that have exercises attached that a new user can get experience with from a ground up approach. Nearly every software program ever used has some type of structure way to learn the software. I see examples of how to spawn, how not to spawn.
Enough of the rant I think I have made my point. I hope someone is listening. GS has great potential, just wish it was easier to get up and running.
So we don't have to draw left facing characters AND right as seperate frames. It's a huge waste of memory and coding time
I want to make a "Street Fighter" type game at some point! But don't want to start until this feature exists
I hate to keep mentioning, but this is BASIC functionality for any serious game engine. We also need arrays, of course.
Being able to generate new actors at will is great! But - I would like to be able to command a specific actor BY NUMBER - tell actor #37 to do this? etc.
certainly, inside the engine, they ARE numbered, so let us have access to this.
Hi That will be great to have Push Notifications feature inside of GameSalad. Such system is simply "MUST HAVE" for marketing purposes. All greatest games and applications at iStore do have such feature. Please kindly include Push Notification in GameSalad
@samurai2020 - you are absolutely correct as far as push notifications. Being in the marketing space for over a decade successfully I know the power of list building both on and offline. Game creators are loosing thousands of dollars by not having this feature implemented.
Thus far GameSalad appears to have a strong interest in serving the consumer. If this is true I am sure they will bring this feature to the forefront as well as work on a better stabilized platform.
I already mentioned here about PUSH Notifications... but also I would like to ask about the next Features:
- OpenFeint integration. Why is it important? Firstly, OpenFeint is 10 times bigger than Game Center. Secondly, if GameSalad is going to publish applications to Android... than what will you do with your Game Center? That' why Openfeint leaderboard is way better. Plus they have their own virtual currency system, achievements, push notifications
- TapJoy SDK integration. Again that is for marketing purposes great tool.
- Adwhirl SDK integration. Again about Android market... iAds over there will be a problem. And at adwhirl you can use tones of different networks at once!
* set max number of letters a player can digit using the input keyboard behavior (now is almost useless, because if I write a 260 letters name on an hi-score, the screen is totally messed up ) * some user interface optimization: attribute organization and select multiple actors. * select more than 1 language when you publish your game
A big feature request for me right now is in audio. I would LOVE and actually need to be able to turn on stereo for CAF audio sounds. CAFs are great but only play in mono. I have an app I can't publish until this is available. I would love feedback from Gamesalad on whether this will be added at some point or not. Until now I've not heard either way. Just be good to know
Also, it's probably time for a roadmap update as the last one from over a month ago is closed. I'm wondering how the year and into January might play out.
Auto Save, so that whilst working on a project up to 5 iterations are being saved every 10 minutes (or a time we can set ourselves) in an autosave folder.
Much the same was as Adobe After Effects and many other programs work.
Im generally pretty good at remembering to save versions of a project, but get caught out now and again, normally when I delete something thinking I have no more use for it, only to realise a week later in actual fact it was needed to control something else. If I had an autosave file I could go back and hopefully find the needed rules and copy and paste them back in.
1. the abillity to use device features -Camera/import pictures -speaker -blue tooth -ect... 2. Autosave 3. Zoom in the app 4. lower Pro fees (preferably$100/year) 5. easier 3D game making
It'd be great if the layer naming bug was fixed. It's SO difficult to keep track of all of my layers and what's on them when they're named things like "layer 6."
Comments
If I can add my own :
i'd like it so that when navigating through the inspector pages on the left it remembers where you were when you hit the back button.
e.g. if you go to scene > layers > open a layer > double click an actor
then click back it always goes back to the game/actors page and you have to click away to get back to the layer you were trying to do stuff on.
if we are talking smaller features/improvements:
improved "display text" i.e. custom fonts, bold, italic, being able to change the opacity of the font itself.
i know you can do custom fonts kinda with some coding, but it would be nice if it werent such a hassle
So you won'thave a huge list in the field and having hard time to find them

-Better perfomance

And as for: You can just by DBA's grid > http://www.deepblueapps.com/Deep_Blue_Ideas_Ltd./Screen_Grid.html
-Camera/import pictures
-speaker
-blue tooth
-ect...
2. Autosave
3. Zoom in the app
4. lower Pro fees (preferably$100/year)
5. easier 3D game making
