The one thing that's bothering me is being unable to select individual objects on a scene layer and tick it as scrollable/unscrollable. I only have the option to make the whole layer one or the other. I'd prefer to be able to do the whole layer at once OR individually.
I want the community back the way it was when gamesalad was $99 for express and $500 for pro.
it's had a real downturn since then, and a _marked_ turn for the worse in the past 8 weeks or so. I don't know what happened, but there is a noticeable difference in how people have been treating each other.

1000% agree Jon. Unfortunately (in some ways) though the community has expanded and therefore you get a whole lot more mix in persons. I know trying to keep any thread alive now or keep track on good ones is nye on impossible because the subscribe function doesnt work and good threads just get buried by lots of 'newbie' type questions that have been covered before but people just do not search for. This forum used to be really special but afraid now, its becoming just like all the others.
Main features in game salad: Ability to spawn virtually unlimited actors without performance penalty or hickup in frame rate (it seems like some engines can do this, I dont know what the cost is but perhaps using LUA scripts is slowing down GS a bit?) It seems like GS has improved a ton in this aspect. Loading times improved or perhaps a way to manually manage memory. Like background loading or something. Custom load screen.
Other than that, its probably one of the best pieces of software out there for what it does!

i want access to any actor attributes, from inside any other actor when using the expresion editor, because creating games attributes just to use as bridge of values betwen actors is lost of time. Everything elese is ok for me.

I would love it if we could have access to other hardware in the iphone, Being able to access the camera on the iphone for certain games would be really great!
Recently, we were warned against features like "animate", "change image", and "timers."
It'd be really nice if we could use them again. They embody the "drag and drop" nature of GS.
If these behaviors could be tweaked to the point where they utilized the attribute workarounds prescribed to us to avoid using these behaviors ...that'd be great.

1. i want game salad to have a memory like this, i stretch everything out so i can see more scenes at once, or make other changes. click on the scene, then click back, and its back to how it was every time.. i dont know, is this game salad or do i need to make changes in my computer settings. if so then disregard this request.
2. highlight multiple items for dragging or copying to next scene.
3. in the change scene behavior, add a "same scene" option. so when i had to change 60 of my reset lvl buttons individually to make sound work again (which was a total pain) plus the time out txt in mid screen that appeared and you were able to click that to reset scene had to be unlockable, since it was spawned after time was out and was just on "reset scene". such a simple option could relive SOOO many headaches.
4. custom collision shapes, (even if you made them just not collide with transparent parts of the image id love it. tho if we could go in and decide exactly where to collide, that would be wonderful)
5. ok maybe there are ways around this. but no matter what items seem to move if collided. unless click unmovable. what if i want a platform that doesnt slow down when bumped into, i change restitution, density etc. it makes it less sometimes. but i want to make it know the item is there and have the item act like an unmovable object. tho have it able to move in but not have stuff affecting its path when its bumped into. (once again, if this is covered in the forums i havent had any luck in finding it) but you should get rid of the bounce on collision detection and add a bounce box to check or uncheck)

btw this isnt a 6th, but a PS (lol) get rid of the loading animation, or at least make it so we can change it) my game doesnt lag much, but that shows up and shows that its lagging.
1. Swiping: It would be nice to just have that feature instead of making the crappy mock up of it. Swiping behavior on an actor, and/or like a re sizable box with swipe detection.
2. Better Spawning: Simpler and smarter spawning. Maybe nice to integrate with multiple spawners to keep good rates through same scene.
3. Video Support: Would be really nice to have, especially for like an intro for a game, and in between levels for some kind of adventure.
4. GameSalad Photoshop: Just something made especially for GameSalad, like for keeping photo sizes to the right size to integrate better, etc.
Obviously most of the other top features people have mentioned.. Simple things thought like
PRINT -- like you have a lot of rules in the actor and would like to print it out on paper so you can look through the logic and make notes or corrections
And --- When you want to edit an actor/instance in the scene you of course click 'Scene' then 'Layers' then expand the background or layer 1. Can we just make it to where when you click Scene it just shows you the layers and actors vs. the extra clicks
When I save my project, a window shows up that says Save and after that a second window shows up that gives me an option to Cancel or Replace. The Cancel button is highlighted, so I must click Replace with my mouse, which is too slow. It would be easier and faster to save if the Save button was highlighted. That way to save all I have to do is hit the enter/return button twice to save. Please make the Save button highlighted instead of the Cancel button.
When I create a new scene, I notice that in the Autorotate section, the Portrait box is checked and the Portrait box upside down isn't checked. This should be corrected so that both are checked because its annoying to check this when a new scene is created. Instead of checking two boxes for portrait and portrait upside down or landscape and landscape upside down. There should only be one box to check for portrait or one box to check for landscape.
