I am also for freedom and I am also thinking liberal, but I also know people's stupidity, greed, arrogance and intolerance.

If everybody would play by the human(!) rules, there were no problem. Until people try to cheat the system and eachother on every corner, I am for regulation, because selfregulation doesn't always work or it lasts too long :-P

Even if crap apps don't sell and the idiot, who built the 1000th fart app is dropping out, the next one is already waiting in the line to make the 1001st., so the real gems can't be discovered like in those Spectrum days. :-(

And as "companies" I understand people, who have a company. Not EA and Gameloft and Blizzard and such.

Just regular people, who are serious and who already invested something into this business.

I have a company, a Ltd. and I am not Gameloft, but I want to make games professionally.

Today you can make an Ltd with a few thousand dollars. No big deal, but even if you are a one man company, you probably try to make quality, while the 14 year old jerk in China in the basement of his parents will flood the appstore with the boob apps as happening now.

That is what I mean by allowing only companies.

And if you as a school teacher want to make apps too, you could come to me and say, hey, here is my app, publish it and I would (as I do it right now with other people), but then I would assure, that your game has quality, because my name depends on it.

What do you think GameSalad is doing?
They do the same thing. They publish your game under their names.

You think, they do something for you, but in reality they are doing something for themselves.

Don't understand me wrong, I like GameSalad and I am happy that I found it, because of course they are doing something good for me, but their main reason for doing it to make money with your and my games.

They don't cut revenue, but they are building up reputation and they WILL market their website with your games.

It must be a win-win partnership of course, because otherwise nobody would use GS, but they have also restrictions, what kind of games you may release with GS. And that is good so. And that kind of thing would I enforce if I were apple.

I would like to see this on windows (XP) as well. And not for the fact of having an app that can publish to the iPhone. I'm not really interested in the iPhone. But it would be nice for a windows version that can export to exe, web, and someday webGL (no plugins needed to play). Game Salad looks like an interesting program. Hope to be able to work with it in the future. ;)

I would love to have support for the browser so games we make on our macs can be played on the web by PC users.

Seems a reasonable request - the more people able to play our games the better :)
