Can you extend a games release date?

I set up my App to reserve it's name, but it won't be ready in time now.

Can I change the release date? I can't find an option for it!!

Yes you can but apple puts a time frame on when the binary must be delivered by. Read the iTunes connect user guide to see how long you have. I don't believe you are able to change the release date until you submit a binary.

Upload a binary and then reject it. That way the timer should reset.
