I personally don't have a problem with GameSalad taking 30% from sales of assets on the Marketplace. I could sell them on my own website and get the full 100%, but I don't have the traffic and exposure that GameSalad.com does. And having it the way it was with the posting of links to peoples personal websites was ridiculous with the Marketplace forum section. It was just a bump fest that got real annoying real fast, and I never went into that section. I think the only people that visited that section were the people bumping their own threads. It reminded me of the early days of playing gigs in a band…You know, when the only people that were there to see the show was the other bands playing, and their girlfriends.

The only thing I have a problem with is the way the Marketplace is set up. It needs to be cleaned up and categorized and have a little more search/browse options than it does right now. The long list of endless scrolling is a major annoyance to say the least. It's still in its infancy, and they are looking in to cleaning it up, and I hope they do, otherwise it might as well not exist judging by all the comments and people expressing their disappointment in it as it is right now.

I too support the market place and want it to be awesome but as of right now it is just pathetic. I plan on selling music through the marketplace and support it 100% in concept but not in it's current execution. There has to be predesigned store front software GS can purchase and implement. When designing a store front user experience has to be priority one! I think with thought and effort the GS staff has the ability to make it better so what remains to be seen os if they have the will.
