not bad at all roy, i think its going to fluctuate like this because people will debate purchasing the full version so on, and they have the option of buying when they want.. unlike a tier 1 purchase which they pay for from the start after that point it doesn;t matter what they do with the app... so the IAP will probably be dead the first few days/weeks minus all the die hard hard core fans buying.
Yeah I agree with Ali, it's what the reports I read say too. Generally, the people who buy iaps straight away are not actually the biggest spenders. The people who buy iaps from the same game regularly - first they invest their time in the game. And at some point when they have become attached enough to it - they start buying iaps. And that small minority of players will contribute to the biggest chunk of revenue that the game generates.
But either way it's great to see the jump in iaps. Well done mate
Hey , sorry for not being on the forums lately , i am very ill i have a strong flu , The last few days i had IAP sales between 10-30 a day , which is nice as an added revenue to any app .
some members are saying that IAP is exactly as iAds , and although i respect everyones opinions, i have to disagree with this , those 2 tests (iAds and IAP) Has proven that IAP is not like iAds , i had 2 days with 100 purchases a day , thats 200$ , and thats more than i ever made with iAds on all my apps combined .
Final conclusion: I think IAP , is a great way to get some extra revenue from your games , just don't force the player to purchase them in order to complete the game . (unless its a lite version)
It'd definitely get easier and better with more trial and error. Just gotta test the waters. Me personally i'd have loads of iAP. But as you said i'd make it so they can still unlock it without spending more money. Fingers crossed for lazy gamers
