fake version of cheeseman on appstore , this is really bad!!!

there is sombody that used the name "cheeseman in cheeseland" ,, and even cowardly used the same character the ripped graphics , this is sick and even no support mail so i can't contact him .
i sent a mail to apple about that , and tomorrow i will talk to our lawyer .

Didn't you sell a Template of the Game? If so its to be expected. Email Apple. Its all you can do.

selling the template doesn't mean that they can use the same graphics and name and publish the game as far as i know , the template mentions that the graphics and name are copyrighted , they are crossed anyways .
i already contacted apple, lets see what they will say about it

I understand that. but the second you put your template up for sale its a rick and pretty much a sure thing someone is going to do that. Penguin Glide is the same way. theres another version for sale on Amazon and I cant even get amazon to take the stupid thing down. Its a risk of selling a template. Sucks but thats the facts. Pretty much every template sold at some point gets published with the intent to rip off the original at some point.

Were not saying thats its right, but if you put it as a template its to be expected and without a doubt is gonna happen basically. I would never sell a whole game i made as a template.

yeah i would be more likely to sell templates of bits and pieces of the game, and never the whole game, i think also if i was going to do a template i would make some super generic art or either murder the art to where it won't look good, like run a crazy noise filter or something on it.
i've heard a lot of this happening and hope you get it sorted

Yep and why I don't do game development threads. I have friends on here I trust enough to share my game files with to look at and they send me theirs and I don't say a peep on here and keep their stuff confidential. I only show my stuff when it's released unless I believe it's so complex it would be too much work to rip off as these people that steal are lazy..lol.

Agreed...sell a template these days and the art will be used by someone...legal or not , it will happen

I noticed that to I think the only similarity between the two is the icon that is your art stolen from your splash screen. The game itself looks like.....it looks like a toilet paper roll monster superimposed on a Mario level. Anyone want to toftt?

Yeah I hadn't actually searched it. Man the name and icon is the only thing similar. Obviously its your character on the icon but from the screen shots the game is completely different.
