[Please Help!] Weird black line in game.

Hi, I have this weird problem with Gamesalad.

I am trying to get used to the game and have created a river. I made 2 actors in each side (doesn't move) for the 2 side greens, then a moving river image actor with a loop (if the image position goes past a certain number, the position of the image changes so that it looks as though the river is flowing all the time). I added 3 bubble images with a random spawner, so that the bubble spawns randomly every second. However, whenever I press play, I get a weird black line in some places within the window. I think it's the border of the randomly spawned bubble images, but as the image moves, the black line appears and disappears (it flickers).

I'm not sure if this description was enough, but I hope the screenshot helps to understand my problem.

I checked, but apparently my bubble images does not have a border; the image is the same colour with the river as you can see in the screenshot.

Any help would be really appreciate, thanks.

Maybe check the layers if you are overlaying different art pieces to create the whole image .

does it only appear when you are Moving? or stationary?

A quick fix...... change scene background color to a color closest to the images color. Like a light blue or something. that will help blend in the line. And slow down the movement. Ive noticed the faster the movement the wider the line. But thats just a quick fix for me.

Was that a hint of sarcasm in the air? or did I actually help someone?

no.. nothing bad.. it was me having a Duhh moment as changing the background color would actually work to cure the line caused by a millisecond lag between image/actor movements..

I just ran into this same problem. Does anyone know of a solution or workaround?

I found another thread where it's mentioned, but no resolutions.

Does anyone know of an example of large backgrounds being built with mosaic style images being used? I say mosaic, because GS tends to treat tiles differently than other parts of the game industry :)

I'd love to do a real tile map, but the number of actors needed breaks GS.

I got some help about this problem over in this thread http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/54861/best-way-to-create-mazes#latest

Had the same thing. We have a large background build as mosaic. What worked for us was making each "mosaic" 934x934px and placing them side by side on a coordinate that is not with decimals. First mosaic bottom left coordinates is 233x233. The next to the right is 699x233 and so it goes..

It might work with "mosaics" in other sizes that can be divided by two and give a even number.

This is with a iphone retina project..

    Hope it helps..

Solved. Interesting little quirk of GS, but that's what it's all about right? :)
