I'm looking to buy full games made with GameSalad. If you're interested in selling your game, please send an email to globalwhirl at gmail.com

I am buying full rights, so please no offers for just source code.

I have one coming, but it will be finished within the week so I can't sell it right now.

Well send a video or some screenshots over and I will take a look.

I will by friday, I can't do the screenshots yet because I haven't finished the art completely and it still needs a little polish so 1 week is my estimate.

You can throw your hat in the ring for our new one still in development but the current offers are around the $20k mark.

Yeah I really like the graphics in my game but it is matter of opinion. The game is called gold digger and this is the only preview I will show at this point. The game has in app purchase so it could bring in money as free. What do you think, still interested? It is aimed for kids 4-12 so keep that in mind with the graphics style. 500$ is my starting price on the game but when I work with a client 1-1 we bargain downwards based on the person's budget so if that is too much I'm sure we could work something out. Sorry for so many short sentences ;)

I really base value off of revenue times a multiple.
  • GraphicWarehouseGraphicWarehouse Member Posts: 927
So are you interested? It's not even fully finished as I said before so there is no revenue.
  • Team6LabsTeam6Labs Member Posts: 541
Yes im interested. I also base value of estimated revenue. Do you suspect your game will make $250?

With your marketing I am very sure but it is only word and no proof so contact me @ morgan@themjmdesign.com for updates on the game and by sunday when it is done you can see it and decide.

I never get why people sell full games they've made?

If a game is released and sold for cheap enough it tells me it doesn't sell on the app store.

If a game is sold before its released for cheap enough then it tells me the creator doesn't think it will do good on the app store.

As the buyer, be realistic and ask yourself why they want to sell, also see gameplay videos on it and make sure its good enough for what you're paying for.

No offence to MjM but he's started at $500 and already willing to drop and seems quite keen to see if you're interested, the games not finished and he's actively looking to offload it.
If i was in that position, the only reason I would be like that is if the figure I would sell to you at is more than what I think I could make on the app store. Not saying this is the case but thats just my outlook on it, your call at the end of the day!

Why else would you spend (hopefully a long time to make a decent game) all that time on it to sell it before its even seen the light of day?

Just my 2 cents for what its worth.

Look @beefyclyro I love this game and I want it to do well, poisenden is a great marketer and I'm sure it will go well. I am only looking to take this offer because I'm broke right now, and I'm also thirteen. I take projects on for 100$ and a month and a half of work, I don't have a developer account currently and pro will expire in april. @poisenden judge my game when you see it not who made it please :D

@beefy_clyro I agree. If I had a game, I would put it on the store, see how it does, then sell it. But the truth is that the game value drops as soon as you put it on the store. You take a lottery on it's value. If its a hit, the value jumps, if it fails and gets terrible sales, then the game loses its value. Same way a car loses 25% of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot.

It's difficult, almost all the games we make have offers and pretty nice ones too, we have seen both sides of the coin I guess, had success a couple of times and also spent months working on a game for very little return ala Running Wild.

We had offers for approx $10k for Blood Flow and turned it down, I think it's made approx £100 on the store but luckily we had a nice 2nd option as a template over at DBA which has done extremely well so all was not lost so to speak.

We've had offers for our new game and you have to stop and think when you know on one hand it could make a lot but could also make very little.

I make games for fun and a challenge and love creating, I work pretty hard most days 10 or more hours I also help run DBA and make templates for the site but at the end of the day everyone needs money to live so it's a tough desicion selling your hard work for in this case very little if im honest.

I could work all day for clients on £30 an hour but it's not where my heart lies so it's not all about the money I guess it's about finding a happy balance.

If your happy selling your game for $500 which IMO without even looking at it it's probably worth more then good on you.

And 99.9% of games (regardless of quality) fail on the app store, bare that in mind.
Its up to you man, its your money! I just dont get the people selling. Any game worth any real money in my opinion (unless worked on 14 hours a day) would be months of work and extremely polished!

@beefy_clyro Completely agree about the failing part.
@DeepBlueApps.com Did the buyer know it was a game salad template? I really don't like how GS won't give us the Xcode files. It completely kills the value because I cannot sell my games to other companies, and I instead are at the whims of the creator and the servers. I would never start a business based on GS simply because I would have to rely on them way too much.

to OP: what is your budget? Nearly done with a very polished app...

to everyone else: And what do unpublished apps usually sell for?

@poisenden - Sorry, but I have to close this. You should contact @saladstraightshooter to have him add your service of buying games to the "Useful Links" thread.
