@SnapFireStudios I forgot to add coins to be honest, i'm not gonna bother now lol
The coin on the counter spins continuously, coins that you collect at random points come in at random times, without constraining and counting values of the animation sequence, its not an easy solution (I dont have much play left at the moment with constrains etc) ... and to be honest, not one i'm concerned about. Its not something i've thought about or saw any issue with. When playing, you're focussing on the player, the obstacles, power ups and coins ... you rarely get to look at the left side, especially top left ... I dont know ... When creating, playing and testing, I'm going to look at this and see if it does seem odd ... At the minute of writing this, in my mind, its not odd but now I'm going to reassess thinking that it could be .... I'll let you know if I change ... Thanks for the thoughts though Thomas, much appreciated
Just thought I'd provide a quick update for anybody who is interested.
LAD:Run is now almost complete. I'm currently working on some internal screens to give me a bit of a break. Pretty much everything is in within the game except the achievement triggers, this will be added soon.
I have finished (unless anything more is added) the store and also the tutorial which is shown on 1st play as a quick overview to what's what.
Really what is left is the remainder of the internal screens, pause and the death screen. The death screen is in but just need to add some buttons to it.
Here's a video of the main menu and showing the different outcomes (just without sound as its decided not to come out on uploading to youtube);
Brilliant! You've put a lot of work into this - and it shows!
@Braydon_SFX Thank you! This was supposed to actually just be a quick game with not that much in it. As always once you start something, tons of ideas run through your head and you get carried away! haha. Still, its building a nice little LAD series with one more planned.
@SnapFireStudio Thanks for your curiosity. I'm been very busy of late so the game has hit the back burner a little, currently its having going through some optimisation though before the final push to finish it.
@SnapFireStudios Its more or less finished now but due to some complications, the aesthetics are having a little shake up ... Mainly the character and also adding a colour filter which I think makes it look better! Hopefully will have the art finished over the weekend, although i'm the best man for a wedding saturday so not sure how much time i'm going to have available.
As mentioned above to @SnapFireStudios, a few changes to the overall aesthetics were taking place. I am pleased to show some images of where I'm at now;
You should have different images for when he is in mid air. You should have a little animation where his legs are stretched and his arms are flailing in a circular motion.
@DanDaMan123 Thanks for your comments. Its hard to tell when small and quick in motion but the animation for the jump is actually different, as is the landing animation. I decided against having flailing arms as due to just jumping, you tend not to flail your arms, thats more for things like really big jumps or falls. Plus, naturally, when you jump, your arms would come out sideways and being from a side on view and with a silhouette, you wouldn't really see much of the arm! Appreciate your comment
Was very impressed with Lad, as wells as this sequel. Exciting times being in final stages of releasing it. Look forward till release and playing.
@123App Awesome mate. Its nice to know that you havent posted much on the forum but have still checked out LAD. Thank you for your kind words! Certainly getting exciting now!
