"Off-Topic" button- Now this is new!

Just noticed this new 'off-topic' button at the bottom of every post...I fear it'll bring an end to @Socks-like comments :P (a bit bummed out though, to be honest :( )

Also a 'promote' reaction, although there is no button for that :/

    In a way, yes. However, I'm not 'derailing' a thread or anything, and causing it to be off-topic. So please remove that reaction, as it is unfair for me to be penalized for it :-L

    On a sidenote, maybe it should be moved into the 'miscellaneous' category :P

    I hear ya, when somebody says/does/rebuts somebody in a way they don't like, that person would then go back and 'off-topic' all of the other guy's post so that they loose points.

    Not just that, it clearly has an overwhelming affect on the rankings competition. For the weekly leaderboards, people could mark down all of the posts of their competitors so they would win, and the same thing applies to the All-Time leaderboard. In fact, all of the people on the All-Time leaderboard have thousands of post, making it easy to 'off-topic' them all (albeit time consuming) and get ahead of them in terms of points.

    Overall, I'm really disliking this new 'off-topic' button... :-L

    Nothing, just glory. Oh, and I think when they're picking Line Cooks/Sous Chefs, they prefer the ones with more points, though I'm not certain on that.

    It was about this time last year when the disagree button was taken away. After I won the fan art contest everything I posted in the topic was "disagreed" to oblivion even if I was just thanking someone for a congratulations. The next day, the button was gone.

    Let's not abuse this one. I think it could be really helpful in clearing up the forums.

    That translates to people being meticulously selective in what they post, meaning an overall loss for the community. (In addition to that, I'll miss the @Socks-like humor)
