Yeah, but I think there are more of them out there than just you... (you sounded like a little child right now, to be honest :P )

yeah I see this as a very short lived new reaction if people cannot behave with it. thats to bad cause it would be a nice little incentive to keep threads on track. even I derail a thread every now and again. knowing I might give @braydon_sfx the please of take number 2 spot I might be a bit more cautious
My serious opinion on the topic is that most off-topic comments are pure fun and usually don't disrupt the conversation. @Socks is a great example (Not to poke to much fun at you :P). Nearly all of his off topic jabs make me laugh out loud. It lightens up the threads and breaks the serious monotony. Now for threads that go way of topic in the bad direction, attacking people, throwing red herrings, etc. I feel those should simply get reported to a mod, and call it good. Honestly, I don't see how having an off topic button really does anything useful... (and just for the record, I have yet to press an off topic button )

well congrats guys. its gone already. this has to be a record of how quickly we can completely ruin a fun yet promising new forum feature

To be honest, I'm happy it was removed so soon. From this thread alone, I got 30 "off-topic"s (unfairly)...and I'm not sure if I'll get those points back either
@tenrdrmer i suggest only mods can use the off-topic feature as i am certain people will misuse it since it reduces another person's points.

I agree it should have been taken off. its just sad we cannot have something so simple cause it seems literally everyone cannot handle the responsibility
Praise the lord it is gone (the lord of Gamesalad)
See now I can say stuff like that without losing points \:D/

Yeah I saw this thread earlier. I was tempted,@tenrdrmer, to just go through every thread and make you lose some mega points. but I decided against it.
