Hello fellow UK residents!

There's been some interest in having a little get-together. Preferably in a pub. Wait. Definitely in a pub!

Or a bar! I can't decide!

Currently I'm thinking either a run down place or the Royal Festival Hall. There's a lovely bar downstairs, reasonably priced, and there are some awesome views of London from there as it's right by the river.

But, you know, open to suggestion and stuff!

As to dates:

Sometime in May or June. I'll let you guys discuss that.

Also, can we have this stickied please forum Gods? That'd help find the post!

I live in Wales, Ill have to persuade my dad that I have a girlfriend. Then buy one of the internet. Ask her does she want to go to london. Tell my dad and he will be so happy i'm dating he will be sure to take me. Then I will ditch the woman just after my dad leaves. And meet you guys

Sounds like a great idea, QS!

We'd love to see GS users getting together in the real world in addition to our forums here.

It'd be awesome to see GS users from the US and other parts of the world attempt similar meet-ups.

This threat is now stickied and will stay as such until a meeting has been set-up.

We call them birds, totty, skirt, crumpet, sorts, darlin' (as in allwhytedarlin?), never doll. And when i say we i mean common people. I call them m'lady (doff my hat, and invite them into my castle to view my etchings).

I'd say fly over but none of our planes work at the moment.We're all covered in ash from head to toe... ...maybe there's a game there? Keep the airports open by blowing the ash into france or holland... anyway covered from head to toe, it's like we're back in the 1930 when there wasn't any colour.

Anyway we'll miss ya.

Doll? England isn't a cheesy 90s sitcom (or is it?). Even if I did live in London and pronounce all my "aths" as "awwws" (one of you, please say "hot bath" for me), I'm iDeveloperz age (though admittedly much more handsome, jk), but with less lenient parents. Maybe when I turn 16, have my own car, and you guys decide to come to the states.

Sorry guys I can understand her as people get killed all the time by meeting over the internet. But she doesn't understand when I say they are professional game developers.

Does that mean he's always in two places at once? Is he behind me right now? what's that?! I thought i heard som.... AAAAGGGGHHHH run away!

Pencil me in as a yes and I will check with the dear lady wife and the 3 month old crying feeding monster. Only been married a year (this coming sunday, must remember that) and already scared of her...

But honestly would like to meet up and the mention of beer sounds great. Can we drink lots please. Been drunk once in about 4 months due to the baby and the strange responsibilty they bring.

Only a 40 minute train ride to waterloo for me which is right by the Royal Festival Hall if my internal sat nav is right.

And remember anyone that turns up, don't drink too much German beer and leave your 'iphone HD' behind, I hear one guy that did it is all over the internet for some reason....

While I understand this, I think it's unfair to label everyone on the internet as 'dangerous'. I've met a lot of lovely people off the 'net, some of them non-imaginary, and some did actually turn out to be girls...

So yes. Dangerous people abound, and I respect your mother's decision, but we're not all crazy!
