Heres my version, It's called Martian Flapper Bird it's actually a mini-Game in my bigger game Steam Jack. And you can see my WIP on the forums here for that game if you like.
Anyway heres a video it runs perfectly smooth on my iPad mini but video shows some jerkiness maybe because I'm using reflector and screen flow on my poor little mac mini. I've actually thought about stripping it out uploading it separate but maybe not.
Something with the iAd identifier, it was a bug within gamesalad publishing. After they fixed it, i re- uploaded the binary and after i guess 8 days again now they approved it.
After being a Apple Developer for about 4/5 years or so, i finally did a game created within 2 days with gamesalad and published it , whahahah, how kewl is that... Now onto a real game with real selling potential :-)
Investments within the last 5 years:
- Gamesalad PRO license $299 - CoronaLabs SDK $99 yearly (first 2 years) - 5 times Apple Developers license $99 - Unity License $599 or so, 3 years back - Game maker Studio Master edition $599 - iTorque 2D $99 - Stonetrip Shiva 3D $169
And another tools around $1000, so makes a total of around $3500 of investment. For realeasin one game made within 2 days, great !!!!! Whaha

@freshworksplay that is very interesting. Thanks for sharing the info and all the best with your development ;-)
@Doguz - Hey congrats on your success w/ the Amazon store. I remember we both were going through the whole suspension issue on GPlay but at least we're both doing great on Amazon now
For those who are interested, my updated version of the Floppy Bird - A Flappy Parody (app at the beginning of this thread) is now here on Amazon.
It's hanging around the 30 spot overall paid apps. This is basically the same game as before but you begin as a zombie. I think it helped Amazon see quickly it was different than flappy bird so they have kept it on the store.
Also I did a version which is easier and geared more for young kids or people who want a slightly easier version.
Nothing too special here, just another ordinary Flappy Clone, except this time you get to play as the pipe! Flap and Dodge your way through the sewers while avoiding countless dirt clots along the way! This Flappy Bird clone is near close to bringing you the same, original game play that sadly flapped away this February.
It's marketing and advertising a large portion of this business.
Most people download apps based on website coverage, top tens, media outlets, etc.
There's thousands of apps a week.. You only see or hear about a very small portion - then think 'oh I can make something like that' when in truth, probably 3/4 of their success is luck and advertising! Or so it seems.
I have a free game out too, and with a lot of Facebook marketing only have about 240 downloads.. So don't think it's your game, it's mostly just trying to get it noticed and in the top app slots or featured... Which is close to impossible for small indie developers ;( the market is quite flooded.

Might as well start giving away a free gift card to the players favorite restaurant when they download the game. It's crazy hard these days...

Only managed 16 so far... but what a gorgeous game with the soundtrack and art style. Everything seems to gel so well.
