Changing any view will increases the memory for a short time. However at some point the GC should run (its really lazy). I am currently looking at the actor editor to see what might be the issue.
Further testing seems to confirm that it is only when you go into and out of an actor that memory isn't flushed. It will build up a few hundred mb when using other scenes, but will flush it sooner or later. However, once you go into an actor that memory is there to stay. Moving back and forwards between the info view and the scene view will once again build up memory but when it gets flushed it will only flush the memory used since the last time you went into an actor.
So going into the actor view will prevent any existing memory from being flushed, even if it was accumulated elsewhere.
Hi BlackCloakGS, Can you please confirm if the issue had been fixed? i have the same Yosemite using GC 0.12.10.. CPU is crazy high temp and cant even click a thing after maybe 20 minutes use.
I'm also wondering what the latest news is on this issue. I started using GameSalad a few weeks ago and have the latest version (0.13.7) running on my iMac (Yosemite 10.10.2). After 5 minutes or so, menu transitions start to produce the spinning wheel and progressively longer delays. I'm worried to get stuck into a full blown project as a result and have started to consider other similar applications but have really enjoyed using GS. Surely everyone is having the same problem no?
Still the exact same issues over here for me I'm praying to the GS gods that this finally gets fixed soon. Would easily cut my development time by half.
It was fixed then returned to being VERY slow. Right now, I have to shut down very often. They are fixing it but with a 'proper' fix, so it will take some time.

That's what seems to be happening here, anyway.
