Toss the Cow and Doodle Rescue earn about $2-4/day each and their free versions get between 40-80 downloads per day. Have a few other games in the works, and you never know. In the meantime its been entertaining.
Wow, apparently people want to know about my apps lol.
I'm the owner of http://www.codebooster.org and it's various apps. About a year ago I became addicted to the multi player RPGs on the iPhone such as iMob. Now days it's all about Pets live and We Rule.
Some of you may know that these games rely on you adding players to your friends list in order to level up and become powerful. So I started a website which allowed people to add their codes so they could add people and make new friends. It went crazy, everyone loves meeting new people and winning games.
Eventually I had lots of requests to made actual apps that got the codes from the website. So I made some apps which read the codes via RSS from the website, and allowed the people to bump their codes to the top of the list etc. These are the apps which I currently make some money out of. I have a strong user base which has grown over a long period, currently adding 2,300+ codes each day.
It is really just a hobby site, but it has a good community and I have had some great feedback from the authors of the games thanking me for helping them add more people to their games, and feeding the addiction. (Remembering this was mainly before the days of Facebook connect etc)
I also made a Swine Flu app, which pretended to test you for Swine Flu. It was stupid, but people liked it as a bit of a joke. Pigs squealing and all. That doesn't make much anymore as everyone noticed it was a storm in a teacup.
Wow great idea tris! I think I downloaded the swine flu app, did it make it into the top 25 free I think, anyways I got a chuckle from it haha... Great job though!
Edit: Just checked the app store and you have a differant app.. Nevertheless very cool!

I have made 4 with a 5th on the go - all fairly basic little things - but still, I have hope! (Providing I don't stay sick for too much longer >.<;)
