This morning I decided to hook this up to my custom dashboard, so far so good Right now it's tracking how many people download and open the game. I'm working on adding a function to track how often a user plays, and how far they go in the game.
Thanks for sharing @jonmulcahy ! I think that having your game on a TV fits it perfectly! In fact it enhances your game tremendously Good luck with downloads!

Thanks, fingers crossed I will be submitting it tomorrow. I've bren going through every level and making sure the widescreen conversion didn't break anything and I think I'm in the clear!

Looks great man. How hard was it porting your game to Amazon TV? I love the way it's looking on the big screen
not too bad porting the controls over, biggest thing was switching from 4:3 to 16:9, which required some fancy camera work, I posted about it on the first page.
I spent the most amount of time fine tuning some old bugs that cropped up, a couple new graphics and tweaking some of the gameplay to tighten it up. I'm happy with how it came out.

I definitely want to and think it would be my best game to port .. however I dont have a fire tv and cant afford to buy one just yet
can't hurt to get started with joystick support! that's 75% of the hurdle.
Well, you will have to keep us updated on how it sells. This is very exciting (new platform) and I wonder how it's going to do. Thanks for the updates.

Did you convert this to Fire TV only or will it still work on tablets/phones?
It's tricky. The widescreen conversion would make it letterboxed on the iPad, which would be OK, but not ideal. It would fit perfectly on phones, but I fear the dialog boxes would be too small. I kept in the original onscreen controls, but they are hidden. A simple attribute change would bring them back.
This particular build is geared towards the fireTV and desktops. I had originally published the ipad version for the Mac, so it'll be nice to republish this in it's place.
It shines when playing on the gamepad, but the keyboard controls are still in there.
If you integrate GameCircle into your game, and hit the home button, this pops up. It shows you long you have played the game and what achievements you have earned. it's very cool!
@jonmulcahy Nice! just looking at it on my fire TV. I noticed you're charging for it instead of ads. is that the only way to make money? Is there a way to add ads to fire tv when you're pro? Or do you have to charge for it to make a profit?

There are currently no ad providers for the fire tv supported.
I don't like putting ads in games anyways, never had luck with them. I prefer to charge a few bucks and call it a day

I have both, but I've been testing on the console. I'll be digging up the stick at some point to give that a try too

quick video showing gamepad controls, with both the left D-Pad and left Joystick controlling the player, and the button A used for all actions.

Jonnnnnnnn ... That looks awesome my friend! Very impressed! I 'd love to find some time to port LAD over!
LAD would be awesome on the big screen, and shouldn't be too difficult to port over with the keymapping feature they have. do it!
