This thread and the images it has shown has inspired me to try out a different art form that was previously unexplored by me.
Thank you @FallingBoxStudios for the info you gave me, the inspiration for something new and the contribution you have made to the forum.

I have a basic question for you, how do you go about shading an image like this? I can't imagine you are doing it by hand (which is what i've done the few times I've made pixel art, such a PITA).
one thing i heard you can do with photoshop is get an image from the web and past into a file, then making the images smaller but using hard edges and then making it bigger still with hard edges which will give you a pixel look have tried it out, but I unfortunately dont have photoshop anymore(it was like a trial thing). Also does anybody know any good vector drawing programs out there for free (either online or download) thanks! and special thanks to @FallingBoxStudios for taking all this extra effort for us!!!!!!!!!!

Good question, I wonder about that too. I do all of my shading my hand, but I would like to know how others do it.
@AwesomelyB @jonmulcahy I sometimes do it by hand, but most of the time I use Textures & Gradients in Photoshop.
Do you make your pixel art in PhotoShop? I always make mine in a simple draw tool, and just zoom in 1600%.
@AwesomelyB Yeah, I make everything in Photoshop.
@AwesomelyB Here you go
Ooooh nice!!!! I love the solar panels! Thanks @FallingBoxStudios, this is AWESOME!!
