Also, pressing the screenshot icon (in preview mode) is not sufficient if GameSalad is not displaying the full scene. It's an issue with smaller displays, while trying to preview an iPad Portrait game

No, iPhone, iphone3g and iphone3gs all have the same resolution. I think they are just saying your app can't crash on the iPad if it works on the iPhone.
