Spriter is software for animation, whose files can be directly imported inside Gamenegines like construct 2 and unity.
Can we import spriter files inside GS?
If you had a sequence of your images, you can just drag them to GS and use Animate behavior to animate it. You can adjust the speed by changing the FPS, but won’t be able to edit those sprite directly within GS.
My Gamesalad Games On App Store:
Greedy Chubby: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/greedy-chubby/id834371213?ls=1
I understand that, as I have created a game before in GS.
I was actually talking about this software
Check it out in details and you will realize what I am talking about. Basically, it helps to create an animation inside spriter and then the game engine it supports, can import directly the spriter file with the animation.
For the engines it does not support, we use the method you mentioned above by exporting frame by frame animation.
