Butterbean has the right idea; comparing the two things isn't really practical - you can compare features/performance and say "Hey, Corona is vastly superior!" but at the end of the day you can't compare coding languages as GS has none - it IS much easier to make an app with GS.
I think it has to come down to an individual; if you can't code then obviously not having to code is always going to make that tool superior for you, because with no code you couldn't make a thing in Corona.
At the same time, I did kind of think the "envious" comment was a bit silly; I think GS is great, I really do, I started out here and it's great that with GS absolutely anybody can make an app without any skill whatsoever, (I'm not implying people here don't have skill mind you, I know many of you have made fantastic games and are exceptionally skilled people, both in terms of app making and otherwise,) but WHY would Corona be envious when they didn't set out to make a tool like GameSalad?
Corona wants to be easy to learn for everyone so that anyone can, with a little effort, make an app. They have achieved this. (Zero coding knowledge, first Corona app within 2 weeks of "Hello World".)
GameSalad wants to make sure no one has to know any code to make an app; which is also great - but it's still a totally different ball game.
