I didn't rip anything off of anyone ?!?! Was that comment directed at me ? Just wondering. Anyways. Ima try QuickTime. I've seen that TSB uses ScreenFlow or ScreenFlick. We'll see. Lol.
OK guys, now that we kno nobody got ripped off ( other than @LeonardDevolper , since he unfortunately bought it ) do u guys have any otther suggestions on my "ball platform" problem ?? plz and thank you
So after about 30-40 mins of trying to figure it out, my question is, what is the correct way to export a PNG. Im taking a piece from a different jpeg and trying to make it a PNG so I can use it as a platform. but it makes a HUGE area around the image ( its transparent but GS picks it up ) !! ARRRGGGG !!! Plz any advice would help !! Im trying to make my "72 Hr deadline" !!
Sounds like collision is your issue. How much extra room is their around your object? Crop the canvas on the image you are editing so that it is close to the object as possible and re-export your png. If you have a canvas with lots of vacant space, it will end up causing issues for things like accurate collisions when you use it in GS.
You can also just make a generic new actor and drag it to the screen stretch the size to match over your current image, then change the actor's alpha to 0 in the attributes. It might be faster for you (depending on how you are using it). Of course you will need to swap the rules as your original graphic would act more like a background image.
But i have !! lolz, it look great in PhotoShop and even in the "Save to Web and Devices" preview. But when i transfer it to GS, the image is tiny and has a HUGE collidable area around it plz help !! lolz
Just for the record, I'm not saying @LeonardDeveloper ripped me off in any way, I'm saying that the guy who sold the template used artwork I created, but I sold the game, so I'm not that bothered anyway.
It's nice and fit to the image. That's why I'm so confused. Lol. Ima keep trying different things I guess. Jeje. Nothing I can do but try and figure it out.
Weird. Are you sure you don't have an old actor sitting in the inpector and forgot to import an newer version in from the library? Just a thought. If it gets too time consuming just use the transparent actor method I suggested. If it is a static image it won't matter, if it has to move you could use follow to match movement.
I've tried deleting the image/actor from both windows in GS. I'm so aggravated. If someone is interested in me sending them the file and looking it over that would be great !! I don't mind cuz I wasn't planning on selling this game ;-) I was only trying to get familiar with GS.
@redsky : whoooo !! Thx I REALLY appreciate it !! Especially since I'm new to this and I'm really enjoying it. I not looking to make the next blockbuster game ( hey but if it happens then awesome ) but I just want to make games. Share them with friends and family and go from there ;-)
No not yet. At least not the link with the file. I got the link to your beta testing which I put on my Facebook page and my twitter !! Hope that goes well for ya !! :-)
EDIT: And I thought I'd explain to you what I did, so you can learn. Well I went into Photoshop and I just cropped the transparency off the edges of the image. I don't know why it didn't work for you, but it worked like a charm for me.

On another note. I got really busy at my house so I haven't been able to do a video up date. Should have one soon tho.
