I've decided I will be attending - although it'll be from 5.30pm tip 7.00 pm (poss. 7.30pm at the latest) only - this IS because I feel such a heel at arranging this then pulling out at the last moment, sad you're so disappointed, especially after the effort you've made, etc., etc ... but also because I really want to meet up with you guys.
(In fact, I'll aim to be there by 5pm anyhow, in case anyone else is a bit earlier - so i'll can be there for a min. of 2 hours, if not 2 and a half).
(I hadn't realised so many other people had pulled out at the last minute till I carried on reading this thread ten minutes ago...)
So yes, I definitely will be there, so there'll be at least 2 people if not 3 there now.
The event I'd previously arranged but forgot about is a gig where I'm playing 2 or 3 numbers (for interest, I'm a bass player of many years) and I also arranged to pick up some friends in the car at 8.30pm... but
If I'm quarter of an hour late or so, (back in my hometown) I'm not sure it'll be any problem.
To confirm, I will be attending the GS users meet up tomorrow, and look forward to meeting you, @gingagaming and any others there.
I appricate your effort @gyroscope but I don't even think anybody is going. No one who posted previously has re confirmed they are going. Not 1. And seeing as we are all in the same time zone and all active forum members. I don't think they will be attending either. I think it's a lost cause now. You enjoy your gig and don't rush around 2 meet me (but thanks, it would have great and im sure we will arrange again). I'm just gonna throw the towel in. I've had my rant now so it's all buried.
I know it's late in the day and I didn't confirm a definite attendance for this meetup tomorrow but I think it would be polite to at least let you know I won't be able to make it. At the time I had no set date for moving home/office but only in the last week has it all gone ahead so I'm very sorry.
Looks like most of us have various reasons for not going but I hope this doesn't put people off for any future meetups... particularly @gingagaming. Since I'm from Kent London's no great distance for me so hopefully we could make a go of it again sometime.
Oh wait who's attending EGX in September?? I'll be there on all days (only because they never confirm developer talks until all tickets are sold out, Grrrrr!) so if anyone wants to meet for a drink let me know

OK, I thought this would be a good idea, the meetup – (initially prompted by @StormyStudio) - and I must admit I have been a bit peeved by the lack of positive numbers attending from the beginning - partly my fault I guess, trying to be fair with a date, as well trying to be "diplomatic" when it came to the venue - so it's all a bit like a lead balloon now...
Sorry guys, including @gingagaming of course - sorry you've wasted money (have you paid up-front? Some hotels allow cancellation if booked through Booking.com, etc, or might waive most of the cost... don't know).
So with the "balloon becoming lead" I think I'll "officially" announce - as I started this thread + taking into account @gingagaming last comment and other pulling out at the last moment, and others undecided so close to the time - that the GSC Users Summer Meetup today won't be taking place.
I hope to meet some of you guys & gals another day, another time - I'll think positively and hope I really do.
Ah - sorry to hear that this has been postponed / cancelled. I was actually coming to check the time and venue as I was planning on heading over seeing as I live in London. Sorry for not being active in the forum the last week, work got crazy busy ended up working all hours - haven't even opened gamesalad in almost a fortnight, let alone the forums.
If anyone does decide to come along anyway (@gyroscope@gingagaming ) give me a shout on email imjustmike [at] gmail - I don't always seem to get forum notifications so miss stuff that happens here.
And since I live in London, if anyone else in the area fancies are drink any other time, just shout. I like pubs.
