Hello again all you GameSalad fans! I’ve gathered some info to share with you guys, enjoy!

  1. Graphene SDK (previously known as “Cross platform Creator”). More info will be shared with this topic from CodeWizard periodically. In other news, great work is being made on this front! For more info or to sign up for beta access, refer to this thread: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/75011/introducing-graphene-sdk/

  2. Release 12 for the Windows version of GameSalad Creator. We’re still working hard on getting the Windows version of Creator up to date with the Mac version. One thing that’s being worked on here is adding 64-bit support as per Apple’s requirement that is soon to be in effect.

  3. Release 0.13.0. for the Mac version of Creator. Work is coming along on this as we’re working to fix the bugs that you guys have found using the release candidates. Once we have the bugs worked out enough we’ll push out a stable release for everyone!

  4. New Release Candidate for the Mac version of Creator! We’re getting closer to having a new stable release for Mac every day! We put out another Release Candidate for the Mac version of Creator recently that includes 64-bit support for iOS apps and are working towards fixing the known issues. Feel free to grab a version of it here http://gamesalad.com/download/releases and check out this thread for more info and to report any issues you may find using the newest Mac release candidate: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/76634/release-candidate-0-12-20-is-available-with-ios-64-bit-support.

  5. Nightly build for the Windows version of Creator. We are currently working towards fixing the known issues in the Windows nightly build. For more info and to let us know of any issues you’re having with the Windows nightly build, check out the following thread: http://forums.gamesalad.com/discussion/75007/windows-creator-nightly-0-12-1-is-available and get the build here: http://gamesalad.com/download/releases.

  6. Updated roadmap. We’ve got a rough draft of a new roadmap made and are working towards making some edits before we get it posted up!

  7. New marketplace / website updates. As far as I know beta testing has not yet begun, but we’re close.

That’s all I have for you guys. More coming your way next week!

Thanks guys, we definitely appreciate the transparency. $300 is pennies compared to how much the software is updated. :)

The improvement in communication from GS over the past few months has been tremendous and makes me feel like a member of a worthwhile entity rather than just another customer. :)

In reality, not much has changed for me with GameSalad. Because of the "Metrics Gathering" issue, GameSalad is a non-starter for me. And with the way "Graphene" is looking, it seems that I should probably just wait and see how that turns out.

But in general, wow, it is a lot nicer around here lately. I remember telling the GameSalad team that they should communicate with the community. It took a long time for this level of communication to return. @ForumNinja is doing a good job, as is @CodeWizard. It seems fun and upbeat here again.

They should be updating the roadmap soon and maybe

    Metrics Gathering Opt-out

It's on our list to provide an option for paying customers to opt out of our anonymous metrics gathering system.

will move from Longer Goals to Coming Up Soon.
