@Hunn it's luck with the GS server sometimes it puts in iAds sometimes it doesn't just like the version number not being right. I submitted another update to change the timing of display on my iAds and who knows it may or may not have ads due to GS issues. I'll let you know.
to really make decent money from ads you need to have another ad system working alongside iAds to really make it work. You have iAds where possible, but then have the secondary supplier step in and supply ads when your not getting them from iAds (which sounds to be the case quite often).
A number of clients I do graphics for make a very healthy living from their ad based versions of their games... but do so by having multiple ad clients/systems running within their apps.
For most apps, depending on iAds alone isnt a very profitable business.
Personally I still hate ads in games... but thought I'd back up what Hunn was saying...
Yo Kirk I'm downloading yours right now. My update came out with the longer time frames and on 3G network it shows up still for maybe 3 seconds after it popped up just 6 seconds into my 14 second timer. So regardless of me stretching out the time for it to be seen longer iAds still is sporadic. I'll test yours and mine on wifi in a few minutes
Ok Kirk. No ads on wifi. Publish it again fast and submit as I had a strange feeling about this. Make it a paid game fast so piles of people don't download itwithout the ads. The other day I made an ad supported version of Stick Climber but thought a strange comment in the apple new app creation section. It said something to the effect of ( iAds will go live at the next update) which if correct it only appears on the second and subsequent updates of an app eliminating that new game hype with ads. So the minute mine gies live I will make a pay version then if ads show up I will make it free if not I'll make it free when apple takes the update
Republish as 1.whatever and submit to apple as "bug fix" and it will be up in 2 business days. If you put in anything other than bug fix it may take longer. On wifi my ads work a little better but still apple dispensing ads is sketchy.
Is someone in the US able to check my app Keno-Gen Lite to see if iAds are displaying? I cannot see any information about it in my itunes connect reports and am concerned the GS publish system has failed me. http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/keno-gen-lite/id385522126?mt=8#
More food for thought. Since iad revenue is currently only coming from the United States, Canada and France do you want all those other territories getting your app free!!! You decide! You could always make it available when iAds go live in other places or suffer the loss and hope they keep your app until the day they are live.
I had a question. I have a game with iAds and currently when I check the iAd network it shows under add status a little yellow bubble with the words "test ads"

any clue how to get it out of test adds?
When you set up a new app for submission to iTunes it says test ads until apple approves the app for sale.

I think either it is not working or Apple doesn't serve my game with ads.
I think I take it dowvn even if almost 1000 people downloaded it within 2 days.
GS should REALLY integrate Mobclix instead of iAds.
Mobclix handle iAds, but also tens of other networks, including admob.
iAds alone is a crap. For international devs and users at least.
Absolutely no sense to buy pro just because for iAds, because it is useless in most of the cases, as I see and it is also senseless.
