It's not the Facebook app store since they announced masala long before the HTML Facebook app store was announced (unless they have been secretly working with Facebook). It's clearly also not android since it's on the roadmap. Same thing with multiplayer. If you go back to the original announcement they said something a like "it will change the face of programing and a game creation as we know it". That means it's not just a feature but something bigger and global. My guess, their own HTML app distribution (but not Facebook). I hope not and hope it's something bigger. HTML apps are weak for a number of reasons. Have to have Internet connection. Even the best ones just don't work as well as a dedicated apps or provide as rich of an experience. That is why Facebook plan will not even come close to surpassing the app store or even the android store.

No reason for sarcasm? He just needs to give a sous chef permission to tell us.
I really hope it's multiplayer! And the @dotsonj23 when you say "it will change the face of programing and a game creation as we know it". It makes me think, is it really something that regular programmers cannot due? Or is it just changing the face of GAMESALAD PROGRAMMING AS WE KNOW IT, meaning something that doesn't make GS stand out but closer to regular code.
NEW THEORY: Is it GameSalads own OpenFeint/GameCenter?
3d sounds lame(because I personnaly like 2d more), they have to work on a lot of thing before adding this.
Man, I got hyped again for it. Getting so curious about what it could be.
Maybe it's something involving some kind of connectivity between device and mac, or some kind of clouding feature. Like working on gamesalad from remote with ipad and testing the game in-real-time while modifying it. That kind of stuff making making games easier.
The real thing I want to know, is Project Masala just a "big" change in the creator or is it something that will actually add to our games? I think a sous can answer this
The funny thing is that Tshirtbooth commented a bunch all the way up until Portyman gave his guess... Does this mean that he is right? Are you afraid, tshirt, that we got it right? Lol just kidding, but I am looking forward to this...

P.S. When I was typing tshirt, I almost typed tshit... lol

Your right dude, we should just wait for it. It won't be so exiting if we find out before the release.

True. But it is fun. Also, as I said before very smart of them. One of us has already or probably will spout out a guess that is a great idea that they never even thought of. It's like their own free think tank and gets everyone thinking bigger than just the same features we always request.
Now my guess from a couple of weeks ago . Not HTML or web based apps. But rather something like Netflix. An app in the app store that users could use apple subscription model and download a certain number of available games (like in app purchases) per month. Then I'd a user cancels subscription the in app subscription/ purchases sel destruct/don't work. Money would flow to developers off of licensing fee. People would like because if a game suck just electronically return it and get some new ones. Of course the key to something like this would be to license enough good games.
I just hope it's something that separates GS from all these other SDKs
Anyone tried the unreal iPhone sdk. I downloaded it and looked at a couple tutorials. It's 3d and not coding. It is a gui. But has a lot of charting that would take some time to learn.

But one things for sure, it's NOT going to be 3d.
