Your character wakes up in his village, no memories. The village is on fire, everyone is dead. In the past, he had heard of a legendary temple that was home to an item which allowed one to go back to any time they desired. Your character wants to find out the truth as to what happened, so he sets out on a quest to find it. In the end ***SPOILERS***, he goes back in time and discovers that a dark spirit possessed him in the forest, controlled him, and forced him to destroy the village and kill all of his friends and family.
@MjMDesign actually, Ive had that idea for several years. You see, when I was a kid, I had an overly active imagination and I always used to write my ideas and stories on paper and keep them in a box.
I have an idea that a man keeps experiancing 'Dreams' that come to life and he has to find the end of the dream to get out. But he has loads of fun escaping. However one night he has a nightmare and he has to escape the nightmare!
@MjMDesign - putting up times might need a timezone attached to it - e.g. I am in the tropical north of Australia (GMT+10) which works well with the West coast times in the US but has a slightly less favorable overlap with Europe.
your offer of to look at what the project will need for music … is a great plus!
and, of course, games are like the movies … they can't be scored until the content is done though, occasionally, an intriguing piece of music could have a whole game built around it!
MH
Yep, no reason why music can't be the starting point for a game. I'm in a music mode at the moment. And especially after doing Molyjam I feel like making some interesting little music games. So will start from the music and build interactive elements around the moods of the audio layers.
So if were using my story idea, a possible reference for graphics and gameplay could be the indie game DLC Quest. Ive fallen in love with this game. Just a possibility

EDIT: @SpriteAttack look at the idea post
