@3xL They've been OK, nothing to write home about so to speak. Im just hoping to get the controls sorted and then just be known to have a good game, regardless of sales!
I can't believe I missed this!! I'm buying a copy now!
@butterbean Thank You, would be interested to hear your thoughts?
I bought LAD for the iPad last night. I'm definitely enjoying the artwork and atmosphere that you’ve created.
The jumping is a little hard to get used to, but I am not too far into the game yet so hopefully that will improve.
I’ll give it a couple more nights playing then I will add a review to App Store.
Great work on the game.
@WhiteMonkey Thanks for your early feedback, wondering how you're getting on now?
@beefy_clyro Hey buddy, can I make a small suggestion? Maybe putting a note in the app description that you're in the process of adjusting the controls. People have been leaving some unwarranted comments about you 'duping' them into buying this game.
@uptimistik Not a bad idea, I had toyed with this and will most likely end up putting it in, need to spend a little more time reading reviews. Its a little hit and miss, whilst the majority of feedback I have received has complained about the controls, I've had some very nice emails as wells and some people are loving it how it is! Hmm. Think in the update I will state it alters the controls so only update if you dont like the current way
Bought Sunday night. Spectacular design and music. I'm sure you'll find the sweet spot with the controls soon... amazing work! Wrote a review (TonyinRI) and hope sales go well for you.

I would suggest giving the player the option of using the current system or a more traditional d-pad system. Seems like you should be able to wrap your current control rules in a rule that says when game.controls = 1 and then wrap the d-pad rules in a rule that says when game.controls = 0. People like choices.

@tkulla Thanks for buying and leaving your thoughts, very much appreciated.

@scitunes I did toy with that, was just going to have left and right arrows in the bottom left corner and a jump/double jump in the right ... however, soo many of the levels need to see all these bits that i decided against it as it would block a lot of detail that needs to be seen! Cheers
Thanks man .. Finally i can now start play this , i bought this long time ago but i didnt want to start play cause ive read about the jump issues , now that you fixed it i can finally enjoy this masterpiece !

Roy.
Thanks Roy, i'm hoping people find it much easier to play and thus more fun now! Seems a lot of people gave up early on with frustration and never actually 'got in' to the game! Heres the hoping people like the update!
Just bought, comes up as no.2 when you search 'LAD' on the new iOS 6 app store Very atmospheric just like I imagined it to be, very inspiring game to come from this community, makes me want to hurry up and get back to work on apps!

Eagerly awaiting the update. So did you change the acceleration on jumping? It wasn't so much a problem with controls (which seemed fine to me) but with the fact that when you jump at full running speed, you basically jump straight up instead of in an arc like a long jumper. Agree that the look and sounds of the game are great!
I still loved the game either way but now it's more enjoyable because i am not getting so fustrated. Keep it up

The jumping is 100 times better now. I can cross gaps and it no longer feels like a miracle when I try to jump up and over a ledge I'm standing next to. Thanks for the improvements!
Just played for the first time. The music and the art style are really good. I'd guess this has been your best game so far in terms of sales/downloads?
I reckon the jump could be further improved though, so you don't already have to be running to jump to a higher platform. Unless that is what you wanted, design-wise?
Wow ! Looks truly amazing. Love the art and Gameplay. You've really pulled a stunner out there my friend! Best of luck with the sales.
@wayneh001 Sorry for the delay, been a bit busy since the release, thanks for your kind comment

@Chobbiface So humbled that its inspiring, thanks for everything you have said, very kind of you!
I was stuck at 2.5 until the controls update, love the game and gave it 5 stars.
@WhiteMonkey Hero .. Glad the controls update helped you out
Much better @beefy_clyro I'd be honest, the jump (again, not the controls, just the actual jump) still does not feel 'natural', but I can beat the levels now. Will leave a nice review.
@uptimistik Appreciate your opinion and honesty as always bud .. To me though, the jumping in Mario isnt a natural jump compared to a real life situation, neither was Sonic! Im glad you can now actually beat the levels, that was the most important thing to me from this update that people could actually play their way through!

@JonApp Cheers bro! I personally preferred it how it was, I liked it challenging but after spending many months inside the game and becoming a natural at it, you sometimes lose the reality to how the average gamer will find it! Glad frustration levels are down though

@tatiang You're welcome for the update. The vast number of reviews on the new controls are a lot more positive so overall I'm happy with that!

@HoneyTribeStudios Thank you for commenting! It has been my best game for sales but unfortunately didnt maintain any traction as im guessing the control reviews threw people off! I did intend design wise that a player should have to have speed up when jumping to get up to higher platforms. The jump will maintain momentum from the speed of which the player is going. Would be nice if the player could jump next to a player and latch on, pulling himself up!
Android Users ... LAD is now live on the Amazon Appstore for phones and Kindles .. If buying for your phone, please make sure it is a high spec ... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009UIO7MA
