just upgraded.. interstitial ads spam

I just upgraded and when i go to test my game (no ads activated or ever had been) every stage change keeps popping up a message that "interstitial ads are not supported in viewer"

how can i stop this from happening?

    Yes, this is really frustrating(!!!) since i was about to do a small double check on every scene. I also wan't to know how to shut this off.

    HI, you cannot fix it, the game salad team are looking into it, major problem in my opinion..

    Hey guys,

    Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just updated GS after a few months to try and get back to work with one of my projects. However, every time I try to press a button on my games menu that should change the scene in preview mode a grey overlay appears saying, "Displaying full screen interstitial ads on the viewer is not supported" and I have to click okay every time I change scenes which can get very frustrating. I was wondering is there is anyway to turn this off?

    Any responses are appreciated :)

    but i'm not a free member? are all developers to be subjected to this popup each time? I mean that's insane.. i use stages all the time.. changing between them for menus.. in game stages.. etc.. a bit of a drag for testing.

    Yeah im pro to and still getting them. I dont complain alot about gamesalad but this is extremly annoying everytime i test something i got to see that.

    This is fairly bad if becomes part of the creator/viewer experience. It means that it limits our ability to use the viewer for screen capture (on top of being VERY annoying).

    Yack. Writable tables are not part of my current game, GC freeze is not on the fix list, annoying Playhaven screens... I might stay away from 93.

    @JohnPapiomitis Yes, the Game Center stuff makes sense because you want to make sure it is being triggered and with the right values (although an option to turn those screens off would make sense). However, doing that for Playhaven and by default does not make sense.

    Wasn't that part of the build that the Sous tested? I'm a bit surprised that you guys are surprised by it.

    Yeah i was just referring to playhaven only. You want to see gamecenter so you can make sure it posts, the right value, ect like you mentioned. And you can always turn that rule off if you dont want to see it for some reason.

    @LaurenSalad Do we know if this is a viewer bug or will this feed out into published games? I'm a pro member and want to make sure play haven and Klip are nowhere near my finished product. No offense. ;)

    Oh, and by popping up the play haven interstitial, it actually can affect the way the scene you are viewing loads and cause all kinds of delay issues, etc.

    I do not see this happening in adhoc builds. I tested switching scenes 10 times. I only saw it in preview.

    @jonmulcahy Ad Hoc builds are unlikely to have it (they don't have any of the other white screens), but the viewer is a big deal since may use it for screen capture.

    I agree, I prefer Ad Hoc as well (which I upload to testflight...). I use the viewer mainly in the iOS simulator to check for memory issues.

    Basic users (non pro) will see two major changes:

    1) Removal of Splash Screen Ad at Start/Replaced with More Games Button: In order to improve the monetization experience, we are implementing PlayHaven’s "More Games" button. Now, instead of the Playhaven ad that would have shown after their splash screen, a discreet "More Games" button will show on the bottom of the developer's custom splash screen.

    2) Addition of Interstitial Ads: For basic users, 0.9.93 adds Interstitial ads into their games. These ads will populate randomly (with around a 25% likelihood) during scene changes. These interstitial ads will be potentially triggered by the following GameSalad behaviors: change scene, pause scene, and reset scene.

    @Laurensalad *big sigh* yeah thanks. That sucks, though. I'd much rather have the ad at the start of the game instead because its not as annoying but I guess we can't always get what we want. Looks like Im gonna have to get pro

    Actually I tested them both and the only number which was off was the 'Other'. As for graphics, audio and engine the numbers were the same.

    But I guess we are off topic now...

    Not a big surprise, but the Ad notifications shows up when you do Reset Scene as well.

    Is there a way to turn this off? This upgrade is causing some issues with my graphics while working on my game. How can I turn off this pop up? If there is no way to turn it off I might just restore to the previous version of the GS program. I'm not seeing the benefit of the the upgrade or maybe I'm just so new to GS that I can't see the benefit.

    So basically I really got tricked to go PRO (see my other thread). I went PRO like 20 mins ago and the ads are still there in the creator even tho everything is disabled. WTF. GOT TRICKED TWICE in a major way. Thank you Gamesalad.
