I am also saddened by this. I used to make games for pocket pc using game editor, and then they closed their doors and all the developers were left out in the cold. I agree that there is a high probability that this is very bad news indeed, but we still don't know what the accelerator is and what requirements there are for this. This could be a way to help developers like me (and so many others here) that are making thousands or tens of thousands of dollars with game salad.
I understand that with all businesses, you want to make money and make as much as possible, but I truly hope game salad will let us developers help them as they have helped us in the past, instead of just throwing away their best developers for thousands of template publishing, crap game developers that aren't even trying, even if this will make them more money in the long run.

Well, yes, still here because most of the posters in this thread have a substantial investment in GS. Our time, our money... our hearts. GameSalad drops a bomb disguised as Good News, and then will not clarify. We're still waiting to see if they say "hey, looks like we maybe didn't go the right way with this", or "here are the details." If GS will not communicate with us, maybe we just need to make a stir.
It may seem like we're being harsh, but some of us are really rather shook up.

That doesnt really tell us anymore than the same message you relayed through BeyondtheTech yesterday. Maybe some kind of idea when "soon" would actually be might be a bit more helpful, instead of just telling the community what theyve already been told.
Not that anyone will give a rip fart one way or the other as to what I think but this is my last comment on all this mess. 1 it is a mess, 2 its probably not as bad as we think, we just dont know and 3 its time to move on and forget about this whole issue. GS has proven they will deal with issue in their own time and way, so moving forward only makes sense for all of us. GS has as company the right to follow what ever path they want. Right or wrong good or bad, its up to them. At this point all I can do is wish them well, and hope that the choices they make will be better than what we are speculating about.
The last thing is this as someone else stated, there is lots of passion here, and there are lots of good people here. Its great, and we have all vented enough. Sometime in the near future we will know, the rest of the story.
That day can not come soon enough, waiting is such a horrible thing.
I am going to keep GS in my tool box of tools, and continue to use it, it too a long time to learn and I am not going to throw it away no matter what GS does.
Now if I could just figure out totally Joe's scrolling menu demo, I think I almost have it but I want a bit more understanding why dont we pick that demo apart so we call use it.

What's the point hanging around here, hurling insults and telling people how great other SDKs (that require PROGRAMMING, I might add) are? I notice you're ignoring TSB, who is backing me up... Im not ignoring TShirt see previous post ^^^^. You started the abusing by telling people you don't agree with to GTFO (albeit reworded)
To be honest, i think EVERYONE should have now had their say. We're repeating the same points that were made on the 1st half of the pages. Like Yoda said, they're hearing us, they know our concerns so can we just leave this now, talk about game making and see what GameSalad come up with? Whatever it is, we have a choice, stay or go. We do now need to be a little patient, i know its hard when it feels like its soooo close but if GameSalad direct was 'set in stone', they ignored their sous-chefs pleas, they've now heard the communities pleas, can they ignore that? If the answer is no, it may take them some time to draw up some tweaks to the model that suits everyones needs. Lets just pray we get the result we're looking for, after all, we're all here because for one reason or another, we LOVE GameSalad. Even the few on here that regularly criticise GameSalad and Gendai, they're still here. In an ideal world i wont be leaving GameSalad, it all depends on their update so lets just wait and see

You have been reported to GS, who can see exactly what has been edited/deleted. If they find me guilty of what you say, I will more than gladly hand in my Sous-Chef moniker. Everything that was said was true, don't try and deny it. How would anybody even know if you were guilty. The only person who would know is you. Theres no point in arguing your not open to change.
