@Manto1... THIS LOOKS EPIC!! Suggestions: - Group/Ungroup objects - Adjust actors dimensions and rotations like you have done for their X & Y coordinates and similar to the Windows creator - Use the keys to move actors around the grid in variable increments
Good suggestions. In the current version you can use arrow keys to adjust the position of the actors. There's an option to set the arrow key increment to anything you like. If you set it to 10 and press up while you have an actor selected it will move the actor up by 10px.
That coping of actors is sweet! Consider adding a step and repeat box, where you can put in how many copies you want and how you want them spaced and you could build each 'wall' with one dialog box. Something like make 25 copies, 20 pixels apart.
I don't check the forums for a week and this happens! My jaw has hit the floor. If you have any more beta test slots open, I would love to squeeze in, as my entire game I'm working on would rely on this, and cut development time in half. Oh, and I will definitely start throwing money at the screen.
@Manto1 for president! I didn't see how you'd get around the actor duplication thing because of the actor IDs assigned by creator, but it looks like you've ninja'd it!
@lycettebros I could start selling a beta version. There can be bugs in it, though. Of course, if you have bought the beta version you will get the updates for free. What do you guys think? Would you buy a beta version of the tool?
@JarrenH Thanks! Sent you a pm. @BoomshackBarry Took some time to figure out a way to do it.
@iCreationZ, I think the comment about pro users was just a little dig at GS in general as pro users have already paid for beta software since GS has been in beta for years.
Yep I'd buy a beta version once it is deemed usable by your team of beta testers. Free updates is a good idea too....it is like the GS model but I do not see any harm in that beyond any cynicism.
Nvm I got them sorted out! Needless to say that is some mind blowing stuff you have created there! Will gladly pay for this! The sad part, people like you can create such awesome yet basic and essential stuff so fast, yet Gamesalad team just slacks off and has yet to introduce stuff like this 3 years since it first started..

Looks really good. You seem to have achieved a lot in a short space of time. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with here
Back slaps all round.

Added a new poll as most people had voted for layer access and duplicate & delete actors. Added a few more choices, too. http://mantuapps.com/gscse/
Is @Manto1 thinking of doing a kick starter for this? We make an investment and get a copy when released?
@JarrenH Thanks! Sent you a pm.

Paying for beta software with plenty of bugs is their forte.
I'm sure anybody would pay for this!

I just want to make sure that we non-pro's aren't excluded!

I am on the forums every day, but I am pretty quiet guy. This is awesome! Please release beta soon. This will save some of us a lot of time.
You have done a great thing here @Manto1
@PBEmpire Which one?
Here's a small demo of what can be done with GS CSE using snap-to-grid:
Attached the project file so you can try it yourself.
