The PDF version is far more popular. I discontinued the printed version. I'm planning to phase out the PDF version too. It seems that ePub is the standard for books. I can't do that until my book is on the iBookstore, so the waiting is frustrating.

I'm planning to make a post on this forum when the textbook is available in the iBookstore. This is my first book and I'm not supposed to discuss the inside part of the iBookstore. A lot of what I would say would just be speculation anyway. So right now my official statement is... "The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook is not available on the iBookstore yet, but it should be there soon."
If this works, I'm planning to be a book publisher... you know... like GameSalad Direct® but for iBooks. There are already companies that do this, but I'm planning to work on a much smaller scale. I can give books more attention, make them better books, instead of just publishing everything in sight.
• I'm currently waiting for The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook to be listed on the iBookstore. • I'm still waiting for Annoyed Tomatoes to be approved. • I'm still waiting to see if the GameSalad team is going to resolve the GameSalad Direct® issues.
So basically... it's a lot of waiting.
...but if you ordered the textbook and you're waiting for your PDF download information, you should have received an email. All orders are up-to-date.
I'm keeping busy with the sound effects project. When I first launched the book, it was inconceivable that a GameSalad update would take this long.
All orders are up-to-date again. I really should figure out a better way to manage digital downloads. I can't tell right away if people downloaded the book or if the email was blocked by a spam folder. With the sound project on the way, it's especially important that I fix this issue.
I'm really surprised that the ePub version of the book is not available on the iBookstore yet.

Cool! It took longer than expected for Apple to approve the book, but The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook is now available on the iBookstore.

Hey, that's cool! Thanks for your kind words. I think that the book is great for beginners. It could help with the avoiding of common GameSalad pitfalls.
All orders are up-to-date. If you ordered the PDF version of The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook, you should have received an email with instructions on how to download the book.
Last week the GameSalad team posted a message that an update and a new "professional" GameSalad subscriptions would be available this week. Is it true? Will I have to update the book soon? I doubt it. I'll be working on sound effects today.

I'm not sure if they would go for that. I do make it easier to use the software, but is that reason enough to put a link to my book in the welcome email?

Hi!
I know it's you. I've been reading the latest chaos. It's too bad about your account, but I think progress has been made today. With the hyperlinks, now I can actually do some hardcore promotion for the book... which should be beneficial for this community too. It seems like I'll be making more money and more people will be learning about GameSalad.
Your book doesn't seem to be available in Canada... as usual. Not your fault. I think it's just that out communist overlord censors have to make sure there is enough "Canadian" content in any product that gets approved here. Don't worry if you don't know what that means. Anything that comes from across the border that any of us might have any slight interest in gets censored to ensure that we don't have fun or get any more entertained than what we get from our own products. We wanted Cartoon Network and Adult Swim for instance. DENIED! "Oh, you enjoy it more than Beach Combers, Men with Brooms and Cornergas? We can't have that. Here. Have Teletoon. Nothing enjoyable on that channel. Enjoy. " Oh well. I'll keep an eye out for your book, if it comes.
Hello Photics, I am developing Flash based games for children and am thinking of switching to GS! Are you planning an update for your book or did not much chance?
Also, and this is most important to me, do you have a "drag and drop" sample in your book AND, is it working unlike the example in the wiki?
