I don't know how to solve your problem, but coming here and making noise isn't going to work. The book has only been out a week. I've been thinking about International Shipping. This is an issue. Simply making the PDF printable is not an acceptable solution.
I'm going to wander over to the USPS website. Maybe shipping is cheaper through them.

Send that Pizza to Mars and the total cost of the pizza increases dramatically. :-D

The printed book is fairly rare, but it seems that more than 3 copies have been produced. I ordered 3. One to keep around the house and another two for family members.

Right now, no. The printed book is available through Lulu, while the PDF is available through Photics.com. They're two different systems. Both versions would be expensive. I'm not sure how many people would actually want to buy both versions.
Wait, so people who buy the print version don't get access to the PDF? What if you release an update? People who paid more for the printed version are left out in the rain?

That's how the technology works. With the PDF, you can't print it, but I can release updates. With the printed version, it costs more but it's usually easier on the eyes. There's also something nostalgic about holding a book. The choice is yours to make... PDF or Print.

Plus, he's forgetting the the big book companies do exactly the same thing. (First Edition, Second Edition, etc)
I would rename the title of the printed version to : The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook: First Edition.

The book has version numbers. It's currently 1.0. I thought about waiting for version 1.0 of GameSalad before releasing the printed book, but some people wanted physical copies or had issues with Google Checkout. Since I have no idea how long it will be until GameSalad is version 1.0, I decided to launch the print version now. I did write certain areas of the book more generally, where I figured GameSalad would be improved.

I might update the PDF until 1.0 of GameSalad is released. If I do update the book, the file on Photics.com would be updated. Those with access could download the new file. I'm currently not working on any updates. I'm taking a break from writing right now. It depends on what Gendai Games changes with GameSalad.

If you have iBooks installed on your iPad. You can drag the PDF into iTunes. Just drop it into your books. If your iPad is connected, the PDF should automatically be moved to iBooks on your iPad. It should work with the iPhone / iPod Touch too... if you have iBooks.
When I first tried it for myself, I was impressed. I think iBooks does a good job of handling PDFs.
Hey everyone! If you ordered the PDF version of the book, you should have the download information. All orders are up-to-date. If you don't have the download information, try checking your spam filter for an email from photics.com. If you still don't have the download information, you can contact me through Google Checkout.
If it's bigger than 10mb there are lots of other sites that will do the same.
I believe he locked it for a reason.
People have to remember that the effort required to put something like this together is time consuming and people distributing the book to those that haven't paid for it will likely discourage authors from writing more books in the future that benefit all of us.

Here's a way to visualize the problem.
Can't believe that, that is the shipping rate. (13.95 USD, price of a Pizza)
Update: BOUGHT the ebook! (And I am not used to AMex Gift cards; had no idea where the CVC was)

Anyway, thanks for sending me the ebook. Will be sure to drop a review.

Soon I'll have the printed version and the digital version. If I need to look at something in the book, I wonder which version I'll reach for first.
Thank you,

I'm also waiting. Gendai Games has been quiet lately. They're working on something. I might have to update the book if GameSalad has a major change.
