The only thing in the spring on the roadmap that hasn't been added yet, is the ios keyboard! So that means, that in the next update, we'll be able to implement the keyboard!

Theres no Guarantee of that. The Road map is a Plan not a Promise.
And then theres this...

j/k. I think a roadmap is a great idea, and revising it from time to time means the team actually evaluate up-to-date context and feasibility, which is also a good thing.

How long does it take to update a roadmap? I'm still waiting for Image flipping, the GameSalad Market Place, and the GameSalad Cookbook. Oh wait.... those are already released. Oh, and iOS Keyboard is still scheduled for spring, and its mid summer.

Updated roadmap would be nice.
They made clear at these were not set in stone schedules, just goals.
Since GS is going to be re-doing the roadmap soon, I would like to suggest a few items not on the current roadmap:
1. Ability to read the iOS device date and time. This would make procedural graphics based on that info possible
2. In game web page access or (i.e., where we could send players to a specified URL and that webpage would come up in an in game pop up window.) That would allow the pop up window to be closed by the user and then get immediately back into the main game.
3. Ability to access and use photos and music stored on the iOS device.
i find video screen extremely annoying for games that i play everyday, but they are ok for ones i play once a while.. some even adds to the story.. so i guess there's a fine-line.
k going off topic here... i think something like that should have been done a while ago since it's simple fix, i for one is waiting for in-app purchase as well. some say that it won't help you design a better game, but some games are designed around in-app purchase. so yes i wait eagerly.
yeah in app purchasing would be sweet and change the direction I'm taking with my current game.

+1 for in app purchasing! I particularly look forward to polygon collision and scene transitions as well; transitions in particular. That'll be sooo useful for my strange multimedia app, which is called.... ah, almost told you! ;-) I think I'd whoop if it was brought forward...
yes, except when everyone else's use "the button" the button becomes useless.. the only way for "the button" to work is if we have hundreds and thousands of contributors to choose from, and exclusive rights purchase.
I don't know about you, but I can't imagine touching IAPs with a barge pole till this gets resolved satisfactorily...

Or just license it from Lodsys until that suit gets determined. They are only asking 0.58 percent to license it. Not much considering Apple takes 30.0 percent.
But... Maybe GS will have to license it as well and maybe that means we won't get it. I suppose if its a pro feature, they could just tak on the .58 percent to the cost of a pro membership and make sure their license agreement specifically covers its users (i.e., us) use of the product that way we would not have to individually license it.

I hope In-app Purchasing comes soon, this could (will!) give a major boost in sales.

In-app purchase is the only method to avoid your app being cracked, that's why is going very well for the developers who use it!
