And thats part of the problem.
You know things, and are told things. You have an idea of what features are coming, and what plans..to a certain degree.. are afoot for the year, so that gives you confidence in the software, and the GameSalad team, and means you can plan ahead, and design products with that knowledge in mind.
Except for a handful of Sous Chefs, the rest of the community/users dont have that same information, and dont have the luxury of being able to plan ahead in the same way. We have no idea what the team plan to add or even remove (custom loading screens anyone?), or what new publishing models they plan to throw at us...
I understand they cant release every idea or every bit of information, but they take it too far in the other direction...to the point that its damaging to their reputation, the community and the userbase.
Theres an awful lot of promises keep getting thrown the communities way, and a lot of it just doesnt materialise.
I guess this thread is no longer just about GameCenter, but is about the whole GameSalad ethos, and their approach to the community too. Its all interlinked... and like others have mentioned, ever since the GameSalad Direct fiasco, the company really needs to be building bridges with its community and its developers... but instead seems to be keeping the community at arms length, and giving us even less information than they did before.
...and why doesn't GameSalad have a page like that?
Anyway, the contest is ended and now I'm going to stop posting on this forum for a while. It's up to GameSalad to decide what features are in the 0.9.3 update.
