1. Actor creator - so I don't have to use multiple programs to create a character. Include joints (bones) so we can pose the characters, please. It doesn't have to be complex (pick a head shape, pick a body shape, etc. color it in, add a face, pose, set as actor). 2. Snap grid - lining up actors or elements shouldn't take long. 3. Camera access - So many development possibilities with this feature. 4. 3D (iso) game build - This I would defiantly for. 5. Multi-Play (MMOPG) - I know its complex, but you asked for top picks.
1. Multiplayer! Asynchronous or not, the creative aspect of game salad would surely be through the roof, and i need it for my next game :P 2. Gif file support 3. Performance 4. Particle collision 5. More organization options
Play Sound driven by text field, not just a drop down - I want to be able to control what sound to play based on a table field, for example. This allows for games with more complex sound or dialog arrangements.
Vibrate - simple function for game effects. simple add. lots of people happy.
XML-RPC for attributes - Let us fetch and post values of attributes to a server. Great for simple turn based multiplayer gameplay, leaderboards, dynamic content, etc.
Location - basic lat/lon can help us make location aware games
1. Console publishing (for me, specifically to WiiU or 3DS) 2. Steam/Desura/Ouya publishing 3. Better features for making PC games 4. Be able to edit the code, as well as just by the design (like Adobe Dreamweaver does) 5. Insert video clips 6. Better ways to do multiplayer (or even online multiplayer) 7. Create rules using what scene you are on as a condition 8. Achievments 9. Play more than one song/sound at one time
I have been working with GameSalad for a few months now, and I have been impressed overall. I have struggled with coding, and this engine is definitly better and more customizable than Game Maker.
String manipulation .... other than contains. Equal to, not equal to, length, etc thanks
Sorry for to flog a dead post, but… this, a million times this. Specifically from looking at the Lua docs it looks like strsub(), strfind(), strlen() would be awesomely awesome for text-heavy games (RPGs, word puzzles, etc).

My Wish-list (Some of this may already be possible I'm a Newbie)
1) To be able to draw in custom Paths, instead of using a lot of rectangles. (Or be able to use an alpha channel in that manner.)
2) GUI - I would love to be able to "undock" a few windows and put them on my second display…
3) Increased imageSize import … at least 2048x2048
4) Snap to Grid and/or the ability to lock actor's position so there is no accident nudging!
5) Less Salad!
Love GS its an excellent tool, keep up the great work !
